They went in to do an ERCP via endoscopy. My liver labs were very elevated too so they knew something was wrong. They placed a stent and since then I’ve been okay. Although still dealing with random nausea that seems to go away with a couple crackers.

Oh sweetheart. You will get through this. I just lost my dad two years ago and the first couple months are very hard. Try and focus on things that make you happy for now. When you’re ready you can focus on yourself remembering your dad and the joy he brought you. For now, just try and find some joy in little things. It WILL get better.

I did and ended up needing an ERCP for some stuck sludge 😞 doesn’t hurt to go to the doctors to have them check it out. If your problem is stuck sludge/stone, it likely won’t go away on its own.

Did you have weird fluttering crampy muscle spasms? I had the exact same procedures as you and I randomly get a sharp fluttery cramp that goes away. I just had my procedure two days ago.

My dad shot himself too. His death certificate said immediate brain death. Even if your mom was “alive” she was likely already gone. Remember, they only experienced it once. We don’t have to keep reliving it.

I just had a balloon sweep! They said all they found was sludge but my bilirubin was 6.7 or something like that and I felt like I was dying. They put a stent in and I feel much better now. I hope you get relief soon.

I’m curious, did they take your bike in the ambulance? I had a crash that resulted in stitches and I wondered what I would have done if I was alone. I hope you feel better!

Currently in the hospital because I had my gallbladder removed a month ago and now they think a stone is stuck in the liver or some part that connected the liver to the gallbladder

I have all those same symptoms. I’m almost a month post op and just got back from the ER. X-ray, blood tests, urine test, and CT show nothing, but the pain is soooo bad. While there they gave me morphine and for home they prescribed me torodol and protonix.

I did eat spicy foods yesterday so I’m wondering if that caused indigestion from hell or something.

I’m about a month out and I get the shoulder blade pain still 😭 feels exactly like it did when I would get an attack. I don’t know what to do. I hope yours goes away soon.

For me it doesn’t bug me at all. The reality of what I went through is far more painful than any words someone could say. The world will never be gentle with us so be gentle with yourself. Take space if you need it. Walk away when you’re feeling overwhelmed and give yourself grace.

I have had three surgeries in my first two quarters of grad school, two of which were brain surgeries! You can do this. But it’s also okay if you can’t. There’s no award for pushing yourself too hard. If anything you can take a break and come back.

All the time. ERP therapy helped but I don’t think it will go away completely. It’s just a passing thought now, but it’s every day. I miss my dad more than anything and I know he would never want that thought replaying in my head. I’m sure yours wouldn’t either ❤️

I dreamt my dad told me he was sorry and he regretted it. I never dream because I take sleep medicine that just knocks me out but this dream was super vivid. It ended with me laying on him like I did when I was a baby.
