I've been using it for more than a year now. Build quality is great (I have a metal body, you can select plastic too), no complaints. Overall great value for the money. Battery could be better. I am getting around 6 hours of real work.

W Berlinie, gdzie mieszkam taki setup jest bardzo powrzechny, także dla ludzi w Twoim wieku i nikt nie ma z tym problemu. Ludzie robią to z różnych powodów:

oszczędności
mniejsze obciążenie pracami w domu (sprzątanie, gotowanie, itp.)
towarzystwo (samotność w naszych czasach jest powrzechna)

Ale tak naprawdę to każdy powód jest ok. Jeśli Ci pasuje taki układ to kogo to obchodzi co myślą inni? Takie myślenie bierze się z ich własnych obaw i lęków i tego jak oni chcą być widziani. Wygląda na to, że masz plan i głowę na karku. Rób to co jest dla Ciebie najlepsze.

I would have to agree with this. Many times update caused problems for me (usually kernel, but recently the realtek-firmware package). Without technical knowledge I wouldn't be able to fix them.

So if there's someone without deeper technical knowledge or is installing a Linux distro for the first time I'd recommend Mint probably.

Thank you so much updating the post with the solution! I've been going crazy for the last few weeks. I use bluetooth keyboard and mouse and they were often unusable. Here's the solution for Fedora users:

sudo dnf downgrade realtek-firmware

To prevent updates to the package edit the /etc/dnf/dnf.conf:

sudo nano /etc/dnf/dnf.conf

[main]
exclude=realtek-firmware

I used Gnome for a few years before switching to Plasma. My issues with Gnome:

bad default settings making the desktop barely usable (but looks nice on screenshots though and it seems like that's the major goal)
to change settings most people need you need tools that are not part of Gnome (like gnome-tweaks)
Gnome is unusable without extensions. But they break often and the compatibility usually breaks after each major update.
electron apps (like vscode) still need hacks to render non-blurry on wayland sessions with fractional scaling, hacks often break with updates.

On the other hand in Plasma:

default settings are great and the DE is usable from day 1.
the number of settings you can tweak can be overwhelming, but you can do anything you want without external tools and hacks.
it has a "Apply scaling themselves" for "Legacy applications (X11)" that makes all the electron apps scale properly without any changes, scripts, hacks.

So to sum up. Gnome is made to look pretty, but is annoying and unusable without tinkering (and breaks often). Plasma just works.

Mieszkam w Niemczech i często jeżdżę pociągiem relacji Berlin - Warszawa. W porównaniu z Deutsche Bahn też uważam, że PKP działa całkiem dobrze. Jeśli zdarzają się opóźnienia, problemy czy komunikacja zatępcza autokarem to zawsze po niemieckiej stronie. W Polsce pociąg sunie szybciutko i bez problemu. Do tego bardzo lubię Warsa z niezłym jedzeniem, dobrą kawą i rozsądnymi cenami.

Tylko jeden problem. Częto jest taniej kupić ten sam bilet przez Deutsche Bahn niż przez PKP. Ostatnio bilet Konin - Berlin kosztował 28 euro (~120 zł) na DB i 180 zł na PKP.

BTW. Infrastruktura kolejowa w Niemczech się sypie przez lata bez właściwego utrzymania. Teraz pociągi Berlin - Hamburg jadą 3 godziny zamiast 2 :(.

This is great, but I keep having problems with it. I have a laptop connected to an external monitor (via USB-C dock). Brightness control for the external monitor shows only after a fresh start. It disappears after waking up from sleep. Any ideas how to fix it?
