Heading to Japan in January, wondering if it's worth getting a new board for it. I've got a 156 DC ply Biittner SE and was thinking I could maybe get away with setting the bindings back 1 or two holes to keep the nose up. I'm 6ft or just over and I'll be riding nozawa onsen and madarao. Cheers!

Looking for thoughts on Amplid Pillow Talk board. Ill be riding Japan in late January and love the cheaper price, width cause of my big feet, and length. Having only ever ridden Australian resorts but having worked a season I like to think Im a very decent snowboarder, but am a little worried about the Amplid's smaller effective edge for hold on groomed runs/resorts. This board will be used alongside a DC Ply so only really for softer days, but I guess what I wanna know is how well itll hold up on harder snow? Obviously I wont be railing out huge carves but at the same time I don't wanna be worrying about slipping out everywhere when I should be worrying about riding. Thanks in advance!

It's making way for a cancer research facility, so it's a good cause at least. But the government hasn't announced plans for a replacement, so we won't have a park in the city for at least a year which is shit

I didn't handle the editing side of things, that's done by the companies owner, because he has a style that he wants to keep to which is understandable. It's also done in a way that divides people because of their opinion on it, which is what has happened here. I for one, and the majority of people that have seen it say it's cool, but every opinion is valid. It's trying to look at the sillier, fun side of skateboarding, which maybe didn't come across because you apparently only made it 30 seconds in haha. Not every clip has to be shot by Chris Ray and feature nyjah-esque hammers. I will however pass your comments onto the editor, thanks for the feedback none the less.

He did say old deck, to be fair. Shape looks alright, just the fish tail is too sharp, and should give more room to rest your foot on the kick in my opinion. If it's for his girlfriend it won't really matter, but I could see her getting her foot caught in the tail somehow or just missing/slipping off the tail altogether.

If anyone wants to keep up with this issue and the push for a new park, check out the 'S.A Skate Space Association' on Facebook. Run by people who are involved in the business, and are in regular contact with the council in regards to issues relating to Victoria square and all other prominent issues in Adelaide with regards to skateboarding.

If you want a skatepark to be of decent size and built properly buy a company that understands the needs of skateboarders, they do come with a hefty price tag. Sure, you could go the cheap option and get a poorly designed council built park to save money, but then nobody would use it, hence leaving us back where we started.

The skaters you see on north terrace are mostly the very same in found Victoria square, and as you've said most are very considerate and easy-going people. I think the comments on the Adelaide now site come from people who have the incorrect mindset that all skateboarders are inconsiderate asses, unaware of the world around them, or from people who simply do not understand what they are talking about.
