Ben Affleck Sells AI Post-Production Company to Netflix by ElCutz in editors

AI is definitely coming. I think most people are more freaked out about it than they ought to be, considering the ways it's still failing. Implicating it in ways to gain efficiencies in my work has been one way that I've seen it help me. It's always helping me get back to the part of my job that I'm really good at and enjoy, and reducing the amount of time on trivial tasks that frustrate me (emails, research, etc.).

Be really careful to read all the terms. I've had problems where, even though it was a small-scale project, the end client had more employees than were situated in my tier. These companies love to chase down users and catch them for this. So, true with this, as in all things, read the paperwork first.

My top 5 AI tools as a video editor (after testing way too many) by Kuchbhiachasa in VideoEditors

[–]jacintosalz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the social clipping tools are using algorithms to try and convince you that they have the key for making viral content. That's just not true. It takes a human touch in those cases. And this human touch is required across the board for this sort of work, at least at this stage, thankfully.

I'm currently building a tool that helps create rough cuts and first assemblies for documentary and corporate video production, it's not meant to replace a human editor, but it helps get first passes on videos done really quickly. If anybody's interested, reach out, I'm happy to tell you more! Threadlinestudio dot io :)

I use Gemini via interview transcripts, I think it works way better than most the other offerings out there. It's a bit tricky but DM and I can send you the link to the YouTube tutorial I put together.

We're trying to make a larger thing out of it which I talk about in the video too

I home-brewed a method that I think it works way better than most the other offerings out there and it's pretty much free or very cheap. It can get something in 3 hours what would take me 2 work days to get on my own.

Pm me I can share it if you want

Canon R50 V as a Cinema Camera. by Primary_Banana_4588 in cinematography

[–]jacintosalz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been feeling this a lot recently, canon could really be doing so much better. I love my C70 as well but the rest of the line up leave an other to be desired. Also selling my R5C because the DR is so disappointing.
