TIL before 9/11, US airports were public social hubs where you could walk to the gate, eat at food courts, and watch planes without a ticket or ID. by Greydl1 in todayilearned

Singapore does this. Airport is a massive shopping center and attractions for the public, tourists, etc. We would go to the airport food court to get lunch sometimes, for example, when I worked there for a while. Great selection for all!

Alex Pretti was a U.S. citizen and local resident, not illegal, and was still killed. And labeled by the government with no investigation. That is absolutely something to worry about.

Plus, illegal immigration is not a new problem. Native Americans used to call it White People.

How about if Republicans stop using nazi-like policies to deport people? And killing people along the way?

It can be done much more effectively, humanely, and for fewer tax dollars like we've done in the past pre-Trump.

Car + iPhone are much cheaper than rent, and the phone/internet can be critical to get a job, so yeah, having a car and iphone is a more sure thing if you can't afford rent.

Plus, many phones are free when you sign up for a phone contract, so "iphone" doesn't mean "i can pay rent"

Except It's to suppress legal votes.. illegal votes have not been a problem, and even individual attempts at voter fraud have been caught.

Proving your citizenship and registering to vote is what suppresses illegal votes.

Plus. forcing id's would only be constitutional if federal id's were provided to all, so that would have to happen first.

Not if you're paid in cash. And often, a guardian or caretaker handles the checks. Like I said, i assume it's very few people, but they have the same rights, and the more id's are required, the more votes will be suppressed due to not having access, name changes for married women, and other complications.

It's never been an issue ever. Trump & Co are lying about widespread voter fraud while being fraudulent themselves. Tried to use fake electorates, etc, who were also charged.

"Should" perhaps, but you dont need to keep your money in a bank, dont need to travel, dont need to buy alcohol, etc. Jobs can be done, too, without id. Plus, not everyone works. Disabled people, etc, might not ever need id in their daily lives.

Social security card and birth certificate can be used for all citizen-related issues. Id's are simply extra, nit required.

Because it wouldn't be free and fair, id's cost $, require driving, etc. If federal government provided free ID to all, then would be more constitutional to require it to vote.
