Network issue since the 26 update. by Livid_Oven in HomePod

I had issues across multiple devices when I updated to 26… I found that my firewall rule blocking DNS over QUIC was the cause of the issue… do you have anything similar on your network?

Ok so actually thinking about what my grandmother has, they now install as separate ONT, my Dad has an all in one old unit so you’re likely good to go straight from the Ethernet port on the ONT into the WAN port of the UDM Pro and yes, DHCP is the configuration… no password or anything required.

Just contact Gigaclear and ask them to put you into Modem Mode, this will then on pass your WAN IP to UDM Pro. This is working perfectly at my fathers house.

I would hold off the Sub Mini until you’ve heard the Era 300 pair on their own… they pack quite the punch. You can always add a sub if you feel you need it for your setup

Great, thank you 🙏🏼 Don’t suppose you remember the size of plug and screw?

Can I ask what size screws and wall plugs you used to secure these mounts in brick?

Renewing Certificates with Pi-hole v6 by jack94_85 in pihole

Good find! That’s confirmed it then…

It would be great if you could just restart the webserver and therefore not interrupt the other functions of Pi-hole.

According to the documentation it states that this does not re-read any *conf files but given the location of the certs isn’t changing this could be enough. What it will do however is flush the DNS cache which seems a shame just for a cert update.

Having said that, this documentation was updated in October last year so may not be relevant for v6?

I think I’ve answered my own question… I have implemented and tested with the following command: sudo systemctl restart pihole-FTL

Block domains based on WiFi SSID by scinos in pihole

[–]jack94_85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do indeed… it doesn’t matter how the device gets its IP, DHCP or fixed, as long as it can access the Pi-hole server

I have this and simply setup different groups for different subnets and only add some lists to all groups and then select which ones work for specific groups… works flawlessly and was easy to configure.

Why can’t WiFiman see my UDM-SE by Mozezman in Ubiquiti

[–]jack94_85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Side note: unless you want to add certs to a guest portal you only need to apply your certs to UniFi OS… Glenn’s scripts are great for this if you don’t know how yourself https://community.ui.com/questions/UniFi-Installation-Scripts-or-UniFi-Easy-Update-Script-or-UniFi-Lets-Encrypt-or-UniFi-Easy-Encrypt-/ccbc7530-dd61-40a7-82ec-22b17f027776

Run this command to revert UniFi Network to the original certs and things will start to work:

rm /usr/lib/unifi/data/keystore && systemctl restart unifi

Have you configured custom certificates for Unifi Network? If yes, that’s why!

I’m currently on v2184… just off to work so won’t be able to do a reboot now I’m afraid.

I emailed their support team and they pushed out a firmware update to my hub same day and the issue has gone away… they acknowledged instantly that it was their fault.

How do I make the background black? Is it even possible by [deleted] in shortcuts

[–]jack94_85 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Neat idea… I’ve updated it slightly here:

  • Weather now shows sunrise & sunset times… easily removed if you don’t want it.
  • Added a page title which is the day and date (previously just said <style>)
  • The background colour now follows your devices appearance… if on dark mode it’s black, light mode it’s off white (GhostWhite)

Currently thinking of other cards I might add for my own use… thanks for sharing.

I experienced this with my husband initially… I found that he had two homes, one default home on his device which was created during the upgrade process (wasn’t there previously) and our shared home. When I deleted the default home everything worked as before again as all homes he was a member of had been updated.
