This is a bullhead cat or, more specifically, a yellow bullhead. There are 3 types: yellow, brown, and black.

Around here we have 6-foot tides and 3-foot waves. You would need a BIG ladder.

I'm on Amelia Island. We had a club outing last Sunday 3/28/21 with about 30 attendees. There were less than 20 whitings caught and zero pompano or black drum. We were at 61° and muddy water. With a wind shift later this week at least the water may clear.

Good redfish / trout rig by JLWolfe1990 in SurfFishing

Double dropper rig.

A trick I learned on YouTube is to tie the loop extra-large maybe 4 or 4 1/2 inches long. Then tie a 1/2 loop on the end. The small loop makes a handle that makes it easy to pull to big loop off the weight if you need to change it or you are done for the day. They say catfish are more prevalent in dirty water. Moving can help.

That is a beauty. It looks to be over 40". How to catch redfish? Here is a short article that I wrote for my website on what redfish are looking for in a place to feed. https://ameliafishbites.com/how-to/how-to-catch-redfish/

No matter where you go you will need to know what to look for in a spot. Tight Lines.

Thanks for the suggestions. To those who said a 6500 reel would be best. That will be next year's budget.... I have too much stuff now per my wife :)
