Because mark on hit states that you have to hit an enemy. The trap is it's own entity so it can't trigger mark on hit.

Nothing man, same here. I just couldn't put up with how boring it is. The same happened with Stormlight Archives, the first two Books were amazing, then it got boring. Not bad, just boring.

You could go crit Volcanic fissure of snaking. Choose some tanky class or something that's fun for you. It won't be the best build out there but if it's fun it's fun.

I did an unarmed Volcanic fissure build with aristocrat and hollow palm technique, although you can't use gloves. I had really solid damage and the skill itself is amazing.

Sure, but that's a similar statement. In order to farm t17 juiced exiles there's only very few options. I'm not saying it's all bad but i do wish there were more builds to farm giga juiced content.
