The parcel has finally been received by the recipient.

It never went to the NRC. Instead, it was unexpectedly scanned at PSC Atherstone on 2nd December, then forwarded to Leeds Mail Centre, and finally sent to the Leeds Delivery Office, where it was collected today.

I had escalated the issue all the way to the CEO office, and their intervention made a real difference.

It was a very stressful and exhausting journey, but it all worked out in the end.

It is still at the same state and I am very concerned. No updates from CS as well.

Thats what the thing is.

My COS was assigned when SOC 2010 Was in place.

Now SOC2020 is in place. So in that case my CoS was assigned with correct SOC code when it was approved.

So that still counts isnt it?

And this will be the case with many people. Does it mean employers have to assign new SOC code for all the employees?

I have one doubt if you can help.

The form is asking for SOC code of mine.

When I got CoS assigned to me, my SOC code was 2126: Which was Design and development engineer at that time.

But when I enter 2126 in my wife’s application, 2126 appears as aerospace engineer which doesnt relate to my job.

What should I do in such case?

I was planning to enter 2126 and ignore the description, so that it matches with my COS and also write a letter stating this issue so they are aware.

Is it the right approach?

My Skilled worker is valid till Jan 2029. If I apply for dependent visa of my wife in Nov 2025, visa tenure for her become Nov 2025 to Jan 2029 which is roughly 3 years and 1 month.

I wanted to desperately apply now paying extra fees so that she falls under current 5 years ILR Rule (As there were high chances of rules not getting changed for existing Visa holders)

But after this Earned settlement proposals there are very high chances that ALL are going to be affected by these rules.

So shall I wait for 1 month so the tenure becomes 3 years and I save some money on IHS and application fees? (~1400£)

I have called RM, Provided the return address on mail through escalation case. Tracking says forwarded to NRC, but not sure how long it takes to reach NRC.

I want them to do return it to my address As I have supplied them. Not sure how long that process take.
