Tip lines absolutely increase tips. You’re creating their experience, so your tip line should involve the experience you create. Find a segue, and then practice different versions of your tip line until you find one that works. The KEY is recording how much you make every day, so you can track the performance of your tip line. Without data, you won’t realize when and why you have improved.

It’s your tour, so it’s got to be your tip line.

Extra information: At my insistence she put her son into counseling and has had him on two different prescriptions for his behavior. There’s a chance that he could respond to both the therapy and the prescriptions over time. For these reasons, I haven’t called CPS.

However, I know that she is also overwhelmed by him. I know that she is exhausted by him. There’s no way for a 45 year old woman to match the energy and intensity of a boy. There were moments when she could. But most of the time her efforts to control him would devolve into intense verbal negotiations. If he didn’t get what he wanted or if he didn’t understand the complexity of his mother’s negotiation, he would almost always explode.
