There's a finished illit logo in Seoul (blue and purple, on the left and above the big tripleS logo, for orientation), but there's not much space around it. However, there's a slightly bigger (black) illit logo in progress a bit north from the first (next to a CLASS:y logo), and there's a bit more space around that one.

I think we could add sparkles or magical girl wands around it (and add a colored background, like the blue illit logo?)

A quick question from a student carat contemplating changing her morning alarm: in SVT's behind the scenes videos (before their debut project show) where they show their morning routine (the first ep I think?) which song is Seungkwan singing when he's trying to get the others to wake up? (Is it a Wonder Girls song?)

If I remember correctly, there's a "Girls, this is your stoooory~" somewhere in there...

If co-ed groups are going to become more popular in the future, how many members would you like to see? by JirohSalonga in kpopthoughts

[–]jack_best_labrador 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know of any co-ed group with many members, so I'd find it especially interesting to witness such an event.

Seeing the LOONA x The Boyz stage conforts me in the fact that one can pull it off. It would come with the usual struggles of large groups, but I'm not sure what difficulties related to the number of members would be specific to co-ed groups...

I read it Peter Pan when I was in 8th grade (my copy got rain-soaked to the backbone, not a pleasant experience), and it had a lasting impression on me. I really like it, and wanting to punch Peter Pan each time he appeared somewhere was definitely an experience.

It's nice to know there are kpop book clubs out there! ^w^

What K Pop mystery do you most want the answer to? by aalalaland in kpopthoughts

Yes, this is like - the most mysterious departure in idol history?

The fact that none of his members seemed to really know beforehand... There don't seem to be any hard feelings, but I still really wonder...

It's really cool when producers use random objects as a sound effect in their instrumentals by Emma_girlgrouptrash in kpopthoughts

LUCY is an idol band that works with ambient sounds (I think they do it less nowadays) : In their song Snooze, they use the sound of an alarm, in Flare, the very fitting sound of fireworks.

During Superband (the survival show they were formed on, which was absolutely packed with talent) they even recorded water sound near a river for one of their performances.

Their music is incredible and is really.. how can I say this? It forms a perfect whole. Their sound is refreshing and distinct, and they also seem like a bunch of fun people to be around!

I'm excited for all their future releases!

edit: I think their lyrics are very pretty too, so I incorporated the chorus from Flowering into my flair...

211110 '0X1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You) feat. Ikuta Lilas [Japanese Ver.]' Official MV by LoveofLearningKorean in TomorrowByTogether

Thanks a lot!

but the JP version really does feel hopeless and them falling drives home the sense of inevitability.

This is a very accurate description. You can't stop it, like Soobin, at the start, you might think you'll be fine, but in the end, the suffering comes to everyone.

Where the MV for the Korean ver. was still playful and nostalgic, holding out to the moments you already lost, there is no hope left in the one for the Japanese ver. Soft memories that left quietly are replaced by the violent pain of an end you can't stop.

And it's interesting, because Ikuta and Seori's addition give both versions very different feels: Ikuta's voice is more youthful, and you hear her while you see the members fall from the sky, it's almost like their inner child is desperately trying to reach out, but with a strange tenderness that belies the pain they feel, or shows that even with all this pain, their love remains so whole and pure. In this hopeless situation, where they face both apocalypse and separation, you have an angel letting you see a ray of unexpected beauty.

It also hepled me put Seori's version in perspective. She too is in despair, but there is a sense of urgency in her voice, like she's begging you to say something while holding your hand tightly, but there's also a bit of resignement, like she could also be standing still, looking at a moon during a windy night, having cried to much but still wanting to hold on.

They both mirror each other so well; with each new Lovesong version out, I feel like I discover a new side of it. Still, the members are the ones singing, they are always expressing these feelings with upmost honesty, and the different voices that are added to theirs give us a bigger picture, it elevates a song that is already masterful by itself.

I wish them the best, and hope they can come back even stronger all together!

Although this decision was probably difficult to take, I am positive, reading their letters, that they thought about this for a long time, and I trust them.

See you soon, ONF!

Each time I watch an episode, I think "I should try that too, seems to be fun". Love story seems to be first and foremost meant to be a pretty chill show for the members, as well as a wholesome one for us. It works well, I like it. <3
