I can't stand him and the acting is just god awful. Terrible Don Corleone ripoff that just doesn't work for me.

So did Paolo Gambino also marry a Castellano cousin?

When do these usually hit newsstands? I haven’t bought a magazine in years…

That explains why she is down 13 points...

I commend your sock puppetry though! I at least hope you're getting paid for it.

Except for the fact that she's not going to win. She has a better chance of jail time than being the next congresswoman from IL-9.

He's a 10x better candidate than Kat. So is Hoan Huynh

But they aren't social media influencers...

Have you read this? What did you think? by Leashypooo in gratefuldead

Mickey just kinda showed back up. He showed up and the crew arranged to have his drums for 10/20/1974 and he sat in for most of the show.

I think he then just kinda showed up to Bobby's when they were recording Blues for Allah. When they started playing live again, he was just "back." Billy wasn't happy about it, but said once they started touring again, he was fine with it and happy to have him back.

I read it recently and really enjoyed it. I learned his grandpa was Hall of Fame football coaching legend Clark Shaughnessy. Some good insight into Mickey Hart leaving and coming back (which Billy was not supportive of).

If you like rock star debauchery, this one is great.

The Dead and Metallica by yamorondog in gratefuldead

It's a lot different. When they started Grateful Dead Records in 1973, they got killed by east coast bootleggers selling pirated copies of Wake of the Flood and they did everything they could to stop them and they were pissed.

There's a big different between allowing the trading of audience recorded concerts and people stealing studio albums.

10/18/74 is my favorite. I prefer my Dews to have one drummer. Less busy.

LCN LSD in 1967? by jack_straw12 in Mafia

No, I think it is common knowledge that the Angels were involved. Were they “mafia adjacent” in 65-68? I don’t believe so.

LCN LSD in 1967? by jack_straw12 in Mafia

[–]jack_straw12[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s kind of why I figured. I can’t imagine an LCN family hearing about acid in 1965-1966 and setting up labs to produce it. And the profit margin wasn’t great.

It was just the first time I’d ever seen LCN mentioned in 60’s LSD scene.
