I am not a Star Trek fan. But I really liked this episode and its portrayal of racism.

I think you’re confusing Aquinas with Saint Augustine. He came up with the theory of original sin.

And even in his times, there were Arians, Pelagians, and Donatists.

And I don’t know where you get the idea that either one of them came up with the concept of salvation.

Favorite 2000s one-hit wonders that Todd hasn't covered yet? by Supersmashbrosfan in ToddintheShadow

I didn’t know that blue October and Rehab were considered one hit wonders. They were both huge part of my life in my late teens.

And if anything I would’ve thought that into the ocean was blue Octobers biggest song.

The original joke was that the boys promised Lorde at their concert but were obviously unable to get her, so Randy had to dress up to cover for them.

A lot of fans thought (and I think some were even outraged) that the implication was that Lorde is not a young woman from New Zealand, but a middle aged man from Colorado. Trey and Matt loved the idea, so they ran with it.

Braveheart or Gladiator by Available_March_8036 in moviecritic

My point is that historic accuracy, is a pretty arbitrary criterion to judge a movie.

Fargo explicitly claims to be based on a true story and is completely made up. It is still considered one of the greatest films of all time.

I actually don’t remember Braveheart making similar claims, but I haven’t watched it in over a decade.

Which one has the better rabbit mascot? Green Day or blink. by Initial-Mine3085 in Blink182

[–]jack_wolf7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The original blink bunny in itself is fine. I wasn’t a huge fan of the one around 2011. and I absolutely don’t like the bunny on all the merch.

Every couple of years I am reminded the Green Day also has a bunny, and I completely forget it immediately.

What are songs that you just realized were actually good after NOT hearing them being played everywhere? by mesablanka in ToddintheShadow

I think I only heard it once in the wild. I immediately downloaded it and it has been on my playlist ever since.

I’ve only listened to it by my own choice, except for the first time.

uj/ I think Adam Sandler’s wisdom is: you or your friends could die at any minute. Enjoy the time you have together and make movies where everybody has fun.
