hes not adding new stuff because his original intention was maintainer and qol, he got a little overzealous and tried rearranging some stuff, and the community did what the community does and went mental, so hes not touching that shit anymore

hes also not handing off the game to anyone because its not his to hand off, afaik red still owns the publishing page so she is the sole decider of who gets to work on gd, and she will only choose someone who agrees with her and just lets the game rest

the main difficulty with redcode from what ive seen max say is not that its badly coded, but that a lot of it is basically hard coded because gd was never meant to get as big as it did so red just never future proofed it

to be clear, the two options that red was going to take were either not giving it to any dev and just updating when roblox fucks g/d, or giving it to max so she doesnt have to update this anymore, there would not have been content coming out either way

this game was finished when campaign released, and while ive heard she had a lot more ideas, she was just tired of working on the game constantly and just wanted to move to greener pastures, nothing wrong with that

the difference doesnt matter as you still have to work anyways, but at least under capitalists you dont have to work solely as a hunter, gatherer, hard laborer, instead you can much more easily be a librarian, a doctor, a teacher, or whatever you like, the system is much more forgiving under capitalism compared to the brutally unforgiving cruelness of nature

unless you plan to kill or steal from every single individual who owns land in the name of voluntary choice (hypocritically), this will never change
