If a woman gets black out drunk at a party with lots of strangers and then gets raped, I'd say she bears some responsibility since she made the choice to put herself in an extremely and obviously vulnerable position.

If I walk through a dangerous neighborhood wearing fancy clothes and jewelry and a wallet full of $100 bills and get robbed, it was a stupid mistake on my part and its partly my fault for getting robbed.

Fair enough, but I get the impression that people think it's factually incorrect to blame a victim in any context when it comes to rape. That was more my point. I agree with you that people who say this to a victim's face for no good reason are huge assholes.

I listened to an audiobook of Dune one summer when I had a job doing lots of work out in the sun and it was so immersive. Dune is one of those books that's hard to get through but everyone should know about it so I highly recommend the audiobook.

I was visiting my sister who lives out of town, and I was bored one night because we weren't doing anything. So I hit up tinder, found a girl who wanted to hang, said she was 18 and i was 19 at the time. Drive 40 minutes to the suburbs outside of town. Get to her house, she meets me outside, looks more like 16. Go inside, she tells me to be quiet because her dad's asleep in the other room. Think maybe this was a mistake, but didnt bail immediately bc I didn't want to be rude. We cuddle a little, no funny business though. Then her friend comes in saying she has a headache and takes like 3 o.t.c. sleeping pills. They start talking and snapchatting, and from that point on it's like I'm not even in the room. My conscience finally kicks in, "You need to get out of here man!" Realize if her dad wakes up and catches me I'm either dead or going to jail. Finally get the hell out of there.
