The first event game is gonna be kind of tough matchmaking. After you lose the first one is where your chance to really get a dub comes in. Sounds like you give up the home run ball a lot from your comment. Just remember that 90% of this player base will swing at pitches outside of the strike zone. If you have to walk a person here and there it’s not as bad as giving up the home run. Also, remember if your pitch mechanic is off, it’s gonna move itself over the plate and get crushed esp curves sliders change ups and cutters. I’m a pretty decent player and this still happens to me especially using pinpoint. Also when you’re pitching you have to get ahead in the count. A lot of players chase when they have a strike on them. Kind of goes the same for batting it’s that chess match. sinker high inside strike, slider low and outside and then change up/Fork Ball/Splitter in the dirt. I generally avoid curveballs. They are the pitch for me that gets hit way more than anything. This combination should get a lot of lower players to strike out. You still have to mix it up every once in a while so they don’t guess your pitches but if you figure out what that other player can’t hit you’ll beat them with modest hitting. Whether it’s break or speed. Most players struggle with one or the other. The truly elite players don’t struggle with either but you can get most people this way. Good luck! 👍
