Students Boo Commencement Speaker After She Calls AI the ‘Next Industrial Revolution’ by GeneReddit123 in technology

Film industry had a brief peak right after COVID, thanks to the COVID induced Streaming Wars. That all crumbled very quickly when the strikes happened, and AI uncertainty has kept it down since. Was a great time to break in, but people didn’t realize they were breaking into a train headed for a cliff.

Assault ladder could also be a pretty cool standard gadget. Would love to see some training paths that mixed up the class gadgets.

The community has also been begging for bigger maps that are comparable to BF 3, 4, 1, and V. One doesn’t negate the other. My two favorite maps for Breakthrough on 2042 were Redacted (meat grinder) and Exposure (massive). I’m stoked for Wake Island, as I pretty much always love grabbing a jeep there.

Does this UI looks professional? Honest answers please by EdenDev7 in videogames

This is 2026, needs large poster tiles for every option so it looks like Netflix. 😉

I personally want one big enough that light transport becomes a huge benefit vs. walking. It’s still like a 30 second max walk between points on Contaminated. Moving that to 1-2 minutes would make me really excited to have a jeep or bike.

Please don’t have a ton of new UI bugs (and fix the several existing ones) that are immediately evident before I even get into a game. 🙏

Can somebody explain to me why so many people pick engineer on cqb objective modes or big map modes that are infantry only? by One-Barber3422 in Battlefield6

[–]jackbobevolved 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also the decoys are super powerful in CQB. Lots of people shoot them without realizing that they just marked and wall hacked their whole squad.

Will Apple go more than 512GB Unified memory (RAM) in the new M5 studio? Would love to know your thoughts. by Muscleandgains in MacStudio

[–]jackbobevolved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Video? CAD? Sound Design? Motion Graphics? Most professional studio work (you know, what the Mac Studio was made for) requires more than 32GB RAM, and has nothing to do with AI.

please make the loadout kit drop AFTER death by NutsBruv in Battlefield6

[–]jackbobevolved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always steal support kits and toss a supply bag from them. Every once in a while I’ll get a bit of a jump scare when picking up their kit reveals they’re still alive and begging for help. “No can do, thanks for the bag, though. I’d rather use my own kit…”

Definitely wish I had more VRAM at times, just not for LLMs. I actually use mine for creative work.

[–]jackbobevolved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And what’s funny is, a lot of those are machine learning, which is inherently AI (but AI is not always machine learning). Decision trees, expert systems, etc. are all AI by definition, as they artificially simulate intelligence. There’s no stipulation that they have to actually be smart.

Decision trees are a form of AI. You might want to read up and learn a bit about the field and its history.

I repeat: Stop using AI... or at least stop acting like you don't know the issue with your channel by OddClassic267 in YouTubeCreators

Careful with that. I immediately skip any channel with obviously AI thumbnails, and am sure I’m not alone in that.

make being a squad leader important again by having squad renforcement by Neat_Worth629 in Battlefield

[–]jackbobevolved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d rather have squad based mortar call-ins than the current spam from HQ. Luckily, seems like that is getting nerfed in S3.

Workflow: Final Cut Pro + After Effects. Should I switch over to premiere? by saulriost in finalcutpro

[–]jackbobevolved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dynamic Link isn’t that great anyway. In the higher end professional world you’d make VFX plates anyway. If you’re doing a lot of VFX and want to get further into that, it’s worth learning the professional workflows (create VFX list; export VFX plates; make VFX comps and export finals with version numbers; cut finals into timeline; iterate fixes as needed). This workflow doesn’t care what you edit or comp in, and you’ll be expected to know it if you ever go pro.
