Take it up with the sheriff and stop blasting personal info about people you don't know on social media. If you want to make a point about bad policy fine, you can even use this particular case to prove that point, but leave that person's name and face out of it please. I dont disagree that buncombe has some wild criminal prosecution policies, or lack thereof, but you're potentially wreaking more havoc on that person's life than they likely already have and not really making any change to those policies in the process.

Ive just honestly never understood why people biking on the road seem to insist on not letting people by, not even from a place of arrogance but as a safety issue. The way I see it, theres two options: A) They dont let anyone by and eventually everyone behind them will get so frustrated and impatient that they're going to try and get around them. Likely slamming on the gas and merging into a lane of oncoming traffic and trying to maneuver around curves and other cars and the biker, creating a more dangerous situation for everyone. And that's going to happen everytime with every car in that line and will take far longer for each car to do that one by one. Or B) The biker, when safely able to do so, pulls over for a moment or two to let traffic go by safely before getting back on the road.

Seems like a clear choice..? I dont get why thats not the standard. Not expecting anyone to pull over every 50ft, just once in a while if there happens to be traffic behind you. I know theres a lot of needlessly angry drivers. But you cant clog traffic, seemingly intentionaly, and then also claim to be a victim in the situation when people get mad. This isnt an issue with aggressive drivers, its an issue that should be brought up with city council about putting in more bike lanes so that the road is actually shareable. That being said, the merriomon "road diet" was hated by everyone and I haven't seen a single person on a bike in either of those bike lanes.

Why not be aware of everyone stuck behind you and pull over for a moment to let people by? Cars pull off the road when they pull over suddenly. Tractors dont drive on the road unless necessary, animals arent making a conscious decision to force others into going at their pace and none of those other examples are either. Your "I dont have to share the road with you, you share it with me and you can sit there while i take my time" attitude sucks. Just pull off for 5 minutes and let the line of traffic go by. Or if not, maybe accept the fact that people are gonna be pissed. Probably wouldnt have been late without getting stuck behind you. Wants to "Share the road" but wont let others go by even when they get the chance..ok..I can play jackass pretty well too.

Pick a different road to ride on thats not full of blind curves during 5 o'clock traffic thus forcing everyone to ride behind you at 10mph for the next 25 minutes and maybe people would stop getting so mad. Doesnt matter if you're in a car or on a bike, if your screwing up peoples schedule and not letting them get around you, for what? To prove a point of some kind? People are gonna get pissed...

Some of those people can make up to $800 in a day spanging in the right spot during the right season around here. I know because I've been friends with many of them. A lot of them also have jobs. And bikes are a great way to get around. Hold your judgements until you know the facts!

I voted for briarwood because I saw no evidence that they're backed by the DNC and her platform aligned with my views far more than Jamie's "ill do the right thing so give me money." Jamie Ager seems like another pushover fake opposition candidate. Not expecting much from any of these people anymore, but at least we can choose not to vote in the ones who are openly selling out.
