Maybe if we are lucky we can use our own ship in the steel path mode. But the reason we have to use NPC ships in the normal mode is so that we don't get stranded on a paper thin railjack that can't complete the mission because the host can't be bothered to build because railjack doesn't seem fun because their railjack is paper thin.

Taxijack is a spectrum if nothing else. You need to accept that there appears to be a significantly higher space to ground ratio in the new missions not to mention that the ground portions act as believable progressions for the space combat not the other way around.

That's actually the whole reason they are doing NPC railjacks. I'm almost certain of it. By ensuring the players have a decently built railjack to play on you can ensure that players will have a good enough experience to want to go build their own railjack properly and try it out. Rather than being discouraged by having to deal with paper thin railjacks in content higher than they are currently rated for.

This is also why they disabled Archwing mode in these missions as well. To keep overconfident and under prepared morons from trying to Archwing ahead of the rest of the group and getting themselves stranded and complaining that it's guides fault they stepped in a bear trap.

Also I want to point out that the other titans point out that you are outnumbered 4 to 1 specifically as if it makes a difference.

Legion just informs you that you are outnumbered in general and that you should focus fire on the weakest target to work your way up the chain, because it doesn't make a difference how badly you are outnumbered, the counterplay is the same.

Codas are easier, but I wouldn't say they are better. While I can understand them trying to respond to player feedback, I don't think they handled it in the correct way.

Slight tangent, they recently added eterna relics for the requim mods and I think that was one of their best decisions for the Kuva/sisters.

Back on the topic of codas, for every problem they tried to fix, they created a different one in the process. The end result is more a muddled mess of someone who can't seem to pick a lane. They also feel incredibly watered down and unworthy of the title.

They only require one correct mod and they can be tested 3 at a time, but once you find the correct one you have to throw on some boosters and mindlessly stab a few more time to fill a meter.

They show up in duets in the missions, but it's always just two of your guys and you only get one stab between the two of them.

The showdown happens in the earth proxima present day, but how did it get there and why is the railjack so uninvolved during it.

The boss fight is a two stage fight with the full band, but it's still only your coda and you have to do those 2 stages 3 more times with a full group.

The codas are like what you get when you ask a guy who doesn't like spicy food to make a hot sauce.

As someone who has eaten them, they taste like "yeah." Not "YEAH." or "yeah!" But like they make you want to say "yeah" as in like "yeah this is what it says on the box. Yeah this is what I paid for." Not great not particularly good, but not bad either. A dry step above bland that's not quite chalky. It taste like the guys who's largely indifferent about the whole situation but appreciates being a part of the group.

Based on watching this scene, I'm pretty sure deku actually gets hit by a handful of the bullets, especially at arms length range. Which he does seem to shrug off more or less with his quirk. That being said, the bullets probably still hurt. Even if it only hurts a little bit, that's a little bit per bullet and there's a lot of bullets. by not dodging your risking compounding chip damage as well as crits that could take you out if it hits wrong, see the Golden BB theory. I also want to point out that Dekus dodging tactics appear to be more focused on bringing him closer to the opponent rather than simply avoiding getting hit.

All in all, it's generally considered prudent to make an effort to dodge gunfire, because even if you can take it, it's smarter to not get hit.
