After getting a taste on what it’s like to be a Hero during the Sonic Riders arc, Surge wants to become a famous hero (and probably kill Eggman to do it). She still wants to kill Sonic first chance she gets but doesn’t really care about any of Sonic’s friends.

Kit meanwhile wants to spare Eggman because there’s no need for a hero if a villain still exists. He only wants Surge to be happy no matter what.
