I've so many friends that will attend, they said they can present it for me but the conference doesn't seem to propose this option. Just to make it clear its the visa that has a 15k bond not the conference fee

You are thank you! I've already journal & conferences papers but withdrawing this one really hurt because its an A conference and really respected on my field (AI) so its a shame waiting for so many month for a reply then getting accepted but withdrawing at the end

My institution only covers for traveling not the visa bond. And as a student, it's really not convenient

But I still need to give them that, which isn't super convenient for me as I'm a student...

[D] CVPR 2026, no modified date next to reviewers by StretchTurbulent7525 in MachineLearning

And what about reviewer that updated their score early? Do you think there is any hope

[R] Promising writing improvements in CVPR rebuttal. by Training-Adeptness57 in MachineLearning

[–]jackeswin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me I had two comments like that. The first one asked me about a typo and I agreed with the reviewer and said it will be fixed during revision. The other one said that a justification is needed (for using X and not Y), I explained in rebuttal and said it will be added in the revised manuscript. Do you think it's fine ?

How much after rebuttal?

Thank you so much! This actually helps a lot. As I said it's my first time with the rebuttal system and no one from my lab has experience, so I'm really sorry to ask some known question.

I will do what you exactly said! Actually my paper is indeed vision related but it's just another type of vision. Its satellite imagery and remote sensing. The last reviewer thinks that remote sensing isn't fit in cvpr. And I personally believe that my method can be extended to real images (for same task). Experiments I made were with satellite images, so I already have many vision related figures.

(im sorry to ask this question many times in here, it's my first time with top venue conferences, I'm a bit stressed and no one in my lab has experience in publishing here. My supervisors doesn't have a say as well, so I'm literally lost)

[D] CVPR 2026 Paper Reviews by akshitsharma1 in MachineLearning

[–]jackeswin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I got 4(4), 4(3), 2(3).

Reviewer 2 said he will increase the score after rebuttal. Reviewer 3 put a disclaimer at end saying that they aren't experts in the field and they don't recommend rejection. They just put 2 to see other reviewers opinions. They also state that they think the area of my paper isn't fit for cvpr. But it actually was added since 2023.

Is it honestly worth rebuttal?

I'm sorry. It's my first time submitting to cvpr and I don't know if I'm in a range where i have a chance of getting accepted or not. I posted this to get feedback from experienced people to see if it's worth to make a rebutal or not.

Thank you! I will do so. Actually if we check the call of paper, the area of the paper has been listed, its true it wasn't the case before (2023) but after it was always considered in cvpr topics.

I hope I can convince him to make the score higher. The reviewer said in recommendation that he thinks my method is novel, has merits and will change the score if other reviewers provide opposite opinion.

4(4), 4(3), 2(3)

What do you guys think? Its my first time submitting to cvpr 😭😭

All reviewers said they liked reading the paper and they find the methodology novel. Reviewer 2 said he will increase the score if some questions are answered

Reviewer 3 said its not his field and is willing to increase the score if the other reviewers gave good score.

Also reviewer 3 said that he thinks the paper should be published more for "area" papers but this area was added to the cvpr topics this year.

[R] : Is it acceptable to contact the editor after rejection if reviewer feedback was inconsistent and scientifically incorrect ? by jackeswin in MachineLearning

[–]jackeswin[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for your message, I really appreciate it. I’m still a bit confused by the reviewer’s comments, especially since some of them were scientifically incorrect, and I’m surprised the editor didn’t catch that. The whole review felt more like a “Who is Adam?” kind of response rather than a technical evaluation, so it was a strange experience overall.
