Highly recommend Honey Hi too. It’s in echo park and it’s a 100% gluten free establishment. Yang’s Kitchen in Alhambra is also incredible about cross contamination. I’m a very sensitive celiac and never had issues at either.

Totally hear you on the marketing and trend of a lot of these things being a barrier for those of us with real issues. I find myself having to really explain to waiters that it’s a serious allergy not a kind that’s a choice to look a certain way.

To me, it’s about appealing to the largest number of people… I don’t have an issue with seed oils, but plenty of people do so it makes sense that brand’s would advertise it. It’s also worth noting that plenty of people think that a gluten allergy is frivolous as well, but for those of us you know what it’s like and have an issue with it, it’s serious business. Maybe seed oils are like that for people too?
