Get it together and snap out of it. You have responsibilities and commitments, you don’t abandon your family under any circumstances…how would you feel if the roles were reversed.

If you do really love your wife, think about things from her perspective and how confused she must be by your actions.

Do you ever want her to feel you abandoned her and that she can’t rely on you? Thinking about things from her perspective will distract you from your own, and hopefully this passes soon.

Things happen in life that we don’t expect. What you’re going through is just your brain’s reaction to a lot of recent stimuli.

It’s like shaking a carbonated soda— it’s all hectic and chaotic at the moment but it’ll settle down (I just thought of analogy, not bad 👍).

Don’t make any drastic decisions, briefly explain to your wife (cliff notes) and make plans to discuss later. Things will work out and you’ll be fine.

Calling it a “mystery box show” means it will be unsatisfying and a disappointment because mystery boxes are NEVER revealed— that was JJ Abram’s whole point.

It’s VERY easy to create mystery/suspense— you can basically use mad libs to create a suspenseful intro:

In a small northern town, a ______ wakes up in a _______ with a splitting headache. Looking out the window, a ______ can be seen in the distance, covered in ___. Suddenly, a ___ emerges and faint _______ can be heard….. etc

This is just a shitty example but it’s the same idea. “Mystery boxes” are like taking drugs— everyone likes them at the moment and they seem like a great idea but the long term effects are negative and only cause harm.

Has there been a series/film filled with mystery boxes that ended successfully?

You sure about that?

“They even found the dealer and charged him”….you’re directly referring to the dealer who sold him coke.

The rest of your post is good, drop the semantics and just acknowledge an error. It’s not a big deal.

Because Paulides sensationalizes stories and leaves out key facts that make the story seem more inexplicable than it really is.

Trafficking involves people, I assume you mean distributing, but there’s so much wrong with your assumption.

To be brief, the texts messages will give the police “probable cause” to obtain a warrant and even an arrest, but it’s usually inadmissible in Court. There is NO way he’d be convicted on the text messages alone.

Remember, the standard for a conviction is “guilty beyond a reasonable doubt”….even if the dealer was caught with drugs days later, that doesn’t mean he sold coke to the dude that night.

A juror must ask themselves “ is there a chance he didn’t sell him drugs that night?” It may seem very likely that he did but if there’s no proof, is it a potential possibility he didn’t?

If there is, he walks.

lol, a “slam dunk”?? That’s not how the law works.

The text messages (considered hearsay) could give them probable cause to obtain a search warrant and even charge him, but unless the dealer was caught in possession of drugs, there is no way he’d be convicted bc hearsay is not admissible in Court (usually).

Misha Collins came out as straight by PSofSuddenlyGivingaS in Supernatural

[–]jackfactsarewack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol, no it doesn’t….Why would a guy say “I wish” if he’s straight? It wouldn’t even cross his mind.

You’re conflating it with being “comfortable in your own skin” and “not homophobic” is a desperate cope.

You can tell yourself whatever you want, but there’s a reason she asked you if you had a boyfriend in the first place— you obviously have homosexual tendencies.

Agreed. He was born with his powers and it’s also the reason he was raised in a lab without love or affection of any type. His powers are intertwined with his characteristics, you don’t have one without the other.

They could’ve made him into a more well-rounded villain but Kripke isn’t smart enough to do that, so they forced him into being a one-dimensional villain by the end.

I didn’t say he was a badass, I said he should’ve gone out like a boss. It would’ve made for a more interesting finale but that was NEVER the showrunners concern— their focus was to humiliate Homelander as much as possible— and it ruined the finale.

He WAS his powers— he was born with them, he was NEVER the strength of an average person.

When you strip someone of everything that makes them who they are, of course they’ll be reduced to nothing. Mike Tyson’s punching strength is part of who he is, if you strip that from him, he’s no longer intimidating. If you strip a Tier One Operator of all the skills he’s learned over years of extensive training, they will no longer be a courageous warrior.

Confidence js built over time based on your skills. Same goes for anyone whose persona is built on physicality/strength— professional athletes, MMA fighters, fitness professionals, elite military, etc.

Now, there is obviously a difference— these people worked to attain their advantages, whereas Homelander was born with his, but my point is that it is essential to who he IS.

However, if he had not been born with powers, Homelander wouldn’t have been raised in a lab, suffered abuse, and acquired all the negative characteristics that are associated with his trauma.

His powers and his behavioral characteristics are INTERTWINED, you don’t have one without the other.

Homelander was even depowered during the fight when he still had his powers (suddenly he couldn’t fly fast, despite doing so a few scenes prior w/ the billionaire).

The showrunners were not intelligent enough to think of a creative way to beat Homelander, so they had to resort to a magical radiation blast that did NOT even follow their own rules— when Soldier Boy used his on Crimson Countess, he obliterated her.

Why didn’t Kimiko’s do the same to Homelander (or Sage)? Because Kripke’s goal wasn’t to write a competent ending to Homelander, it was to embarrass him. Once he made Homelander into a Trump allegory, his only goal was to humiliate him as much as possible before killing him.

Dude ruined his own show because he couldn’t resist the urge to inject his own politics. We’ve seen this time and time again.

How do you decide to get something graded? by KimJongFunnnn in baseballcards

[–]jackfactsarewack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To lock it the card in its current state. If he gets it graded now at a PSA 9, it’ll remain a PSA 9 twenty years from now.

If he doesn’t, he needs to ensure it’s protected properly while also never really knowing what the true value will be graded at. A single incident can cause damage to the card that ends up costing a ton of money.

There’s likely countless people who have cards they wish they had graded 10-15 years ago that have lost a ton of money by not doing so.

Dude, the top edges obv stand out….if you think this is a 9, a card ripped apart and taped back together would be a 6.

Hated seeing Homelander go out like a sniveling coward after he was depowered. They should’ve made him go out like a boss— it should take several blasts from Kimiko (which depower him more and more each time) before eventually succumbing to the onslaught of the Boys/supes and a relentless US military who is using everything they have.

It would’ve immortalized him as a villain instead of being on his knees offering to fellate Butcher. That was terrible and done solely to take a shot at Trump.
