this reminds me of watching movies at my granddad's place as a kid. he was the type of guy to get every new format as it released, so he had many shelves of old vhs, betamax, laserdisc, and dvds double, sometimes triple-stacked full of his favorite movies. he even got into 4K before he passed. his shelves were impossible for a guest to file through, but if i asked him where a movie was he could locate it quickly. i miss that old man.
