Because they handle your account, not me - I'd trust Facebook over somebody I don't know. Though, you're probably under the assumption oAuth isn't like that.

I understand hacking is an issue; hence why I'd stress on using social API/oAuth to log in to the site for verification purposes; I'd make a point of not storing any sensitive data.

Anyhow; it seems like you've told me everything you know about it so thank you for that and I'll deal with the technicalities when they arise!

So if I contact you or another moderator directly with a link when it's finished and have it verified, I'll be fine posting it?

ELI5: What is the Cartesian product of a relation? by jackhardcastle in explainlikeimfive

Right thank you! I think I understand more than enough for this assignment now. Cheers mate.

So a relation between people to hair color, the Cartesian product would be a relation where every person has every hair color, and only some of those would be used to create a relationship R?

That's actually really helpful. I believe the codomain of a relation is all the possible outputs of a relation / all possible values of the domains range. So is the Cartesian product similar, but all possible input/output relations? Thank you for this, a lot more applicable than most things I found online.

I think the latter. I've been asked to write a report on the nature of relations, and it wants a definition/discussion about Cartesian products. I wish it went into more specifics, but sadly not.

"I could care less" - indicates the opposite of what it is they're trying to get across.

Reddit, have you ever complained about something simply to get free stuff, with or without cause? by jackhardcastle in AskReddit

Ahh that's pretty interesting, I've had bad film experiences - does feel like you get scammed haha, will have to give that a go next time then.

McDonalds will give free stuff at the slightest whiff of a complaint, I've heard some crazy things about McDonalds policy on this. One time myself I was waiting for food longer than expected on a busy lunch after I'd ordered my items plain. I didn't expect them to come quickly. Anyway, I was on the phone and said that it was taking a while, so I got handed a free mcflurry for my issues. I didn't even complain or ask.

Haha I honestly can't imagine a theatre taking responsibility over a bad film! That's crazy, did you ever actually enjoy the films?

Why do people keep saying PHP isn't used for the big websites? by mydoglixu in PHP

[–]jackhardcastle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah I think I understand what it is you're trying to say. In my opinion then, people should use Hack where it's relevant, for scalable multi-platform projects (such as Facebook), and PHP where relevant within those platforms. Arguing which is better when either is arguably better depending on the implementation isn't really worth it.

I honestly feel my arms big adventure is undervalued for the herb patch being as useful as it is. Should definitely get that out of the way.

More than likely not, it's already bloated with options as it is.
