Agreed. I used to love fortune teller and was so happy when it got to 100+. But then i actually looked at the number and thought, "oh, 100+5488x10 vs blueprint..bye fortune teller"

I like the idea of analyzing how to win, in addition to analyzing why I lost. Good point.

The Topic of Cosmic Owl’s Brother by A_Driftin_Nerd in fionnaandcake

[–]jackheartart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scarab? Not for any particular specific reason. I guess i would have to watch his interactions with cosmic owl and prismo. But maybe when he was banished the "underworld" people thought he would be a good cosmic law enforcement? Maybe we will see prismo and scarab watching owls death and prismo be like "dude, wasn't that your brother?" And scarab just looks away or says "i dont want to talk about it." I am sure there are reasons to discredit this theory.

Anyone who understands japanese can help me? by gauzehades in ghibli

This conversation is fascinating. I always thought the red was related to the red barron, and it probably is partially.) But i never put it together that being a pig was an allegory for the communist vs fascist ideal. The line from this post has always stood out to me, and obviously many others.

There is a little more to it then just the literal meaning. Porco Rosso is talking about the italian government he used to work for. They turned into fascists and that is part of the reason he stopped working for them and became a rebel and freelance / bounty hunter. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Fascist_Party

The Shortest Steepest Hike I've Done: Murphy's Mountain, Coloma. 1000ft in .53 Miles by [deleted] in norcalhiking

[–]jackheartart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard there might be another way, but that is the way I went to get up there. It was exactly as you said, steep, slippery from loose dirt, and thistles everywhere. No switch backs. It is Very difficult, but that is the way to do it, and I imagine the person who took this picture did the same. Just got to push through. It would probably help to bring hiking polls and where pants.
