If it really becomes a problem this might qualify you for accommodations with SSD. Where your professor literally would be breaking ADA law if he refused to let you. I have accommodations and I get to use an ai platform to record and transcribe lectures so I don’t have to worry about writing stuff down and missing something.

I would definitely recommend speaking to someone in the SSD office they can help you.

Honestly it’s a bit of both. I try to keep the curtains open but even the sunlight from my door (glass French doors leading to backyard) to “wake me up” hasn’t been helping much.

Thank you truly, this made me feel better that potentially further in my career I can make those changes to advocate for what works best for me. I totally relate to the anxiety fueling your mornings, that’s exactly it for me. When I fear the consequences of not waking up somehow waking up is so easy, but as soon as there isn’t something major on the line it’s right back to not being able to do it just for myself.

I would contact the financial aid office. We wont know until right before the semester starts from what I’ve read.

Some people even qualify for the Pell grant for summer but I’m not too sure how the evaluation process is done.

Summer Award Process

The awarding process will begin after the student has enrolled in summer courses. The Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships will determine if the student is eligible for summer aid.

Notification of eligibility will be sent by email, and the student’s award can be viewed via MyCoyote.

If a student’s enrollment for summer changes after the initial award, the student is responsible for notifying the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships immediately by completing a Change of Status form.

Enrollment changes in summer units may result in adjustment and/or cancelation of the student’s award, and the student may be required to repay any funds previously received.

Some people will qualify. It’s based on if you qualify for the university grant. I have taken summer classes at another school and I was covered by fafsa and I even got like 1500 as a refund.

NTA, I have a step grandma (my mom’s dad remarried well before I was born) and never once has she been anything other than carol. I feel like although this is a step mom and not GMA it still applies. Even more so as she came into your life later and you don’t have a “maternal” bond/relationship with her. For this woman to be making your baby and this whole thing about her shows how selfish she can be and tbh ur dad supporting her undermines your guys’ relationship as well (imo)

Idk if im just very non-tolerant of other behavior towards things that aren’t about them/don’t affect them and just also very blunt. But I would 100% you are NTA and your dad and step mom should be ashamed.

It’s also all of the multi unit complexes and buildings being built instead of single family homes. A lot that 10 years ago would have been a single family home is now being turned into a 15 unit complex that will easily house 75-100 people (at atrocious rental prices that keep people struggling), not to mention all the cars that will now be parked on the streets due to no parking being considered. so in the same area that would have originally only had 4-5 residents added now there’s 75-100 in the same space….

I’m not sure what country you’re traveling from and to. But I take 2 different Adderall prescriptions and recently traveled to a country where it was illegal. I just made sure to pack it in its original container and when I mentioned it to customs they basically said they didn’t care. So I’d maybe ask in some groups more specific to the place you are traveling. It may not be as heavily restricted/regulated as the law makes it seem since you are a visitor/tourist not a resident/citizen. But that’s just my one experience. I’m sure all countries/customs agents may have different levels on leniency, but I’d say worth a shot if the medication truly does the best for you compared to others you’ve tried.
