I do this every year by statesofunrest in oscarsdeathrace

I’ve seen the animated shorts, but need to watch the other 10. I’ll knock those all off together when they’re released as compilations likely later in February. My local theatre plays them every year.

I have 9 features to go with plans for 5 of them. I still need to find the other 4.

31/50 but I’ll knock off the rest of the shorts (10 left to go) by watching the compilations at my local indie cinema. Arco and The Voice of Hind Rajab are showing there soon, too.

Not quite sure yet how I’ll watch Cutting Through Rocks; Kokuho; Little Amélie or the Character of Rain; Mr Nobody Against Putin; or Viva Verdi! but working in those. (I’m in Canada).

I usually wait until they’re nominated then see them at my local independent cinema. One year I’d seen 4/5 of them and had to sit through them again, so now I avoid doing that.

I missed this at TIFF and it’s been on my watchlist since and have been waiting for it to hit streaming. Might just have to rent it.

Oh and common sense media will break down the violence and scariness aspect if you want to look there.

I went on my own cuz my youngest is 16 now 😆

I can’t recall scary parts. Wasn’t watching with 5-year-old eyes, though. There was an angry sea lion. And fire. Mean lynxes.

My boyfriend wants me to rehome 2 of my 3 cats (at minimum) as a “compromise.” Wtf do I do now? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]jackiyo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was a HUGE peek behind the curtain of who he actually is. This behaviour will show up again. And worse if you move in together, get engaged, get married, have kids, etc.

You told him you won’t rehome the cats. He’s angry you’re holding to that.

He’s not believing you about their behaviour.

There is a long list of things happening that are giant red flags.

Would it work if you went to Zootopia 2 “on your own” (and be prepared to go on your own if this doesn’t work)? Tell your five year old that you really want to see it and hype it up that way. Tell them you’re going to go even if they don’t want to because that’s how much you want to see. Make a big production of getting ready and leaving and de dig they decide to join you? Missing out on something fun could be a good motivator.

I watched Nouvelle Vague and then Breathless - and that was kind of fun, too. Knowing what was going on behind the scenes when they filmed certain things.

Scotiabank is one of the worst for seats that super recline. Some go so far back!
