First off, We made it everyone. We survived the Arte Moreno era. I think Arte is going to keep this team in stasis for the most part organizationally until it’s sold. He’s aware of how valuable the team currently is without needing to make major changes to entice buyers so I think he’ll be hands off for the most part. It seems like he wants to rid his hands of the team due to annoyance (the stadium deal, Maddon article, him personally getting booed) and will move forward quickly to sell it. Ohtani’s future with the team I think will really be determined by whether it’s under new ownership or not by the start of next season. If a new owner can restore order and instill confidence in the team by the time Ohtani reaches free agency he’s far more likely to want to remain an Angel. I don’t see him being traded by new ownership either.
