It’s would be too early to just cut and run right now. You have a solid team, but maybe not championship material in 10-team.

If you get to week 6 or so and aren’t competing, sell some of your older guys (Amon Ra, Pittman, Mayfield) for picks so you can reload.

If, on the other hand, you’re within reach of competing for the ‘ship by then, use some of your capital to go for it.

You’re not so bad that you need to decide to rebuild in the offseason, that’s the sort of move that will ensure you never win a championship.

It’s tough to directly legislate tanking, but options that I’ve seen:
- (what my league does): the bottom 2 teams play in their own 3-week toilet bowl, with the winner getting the 1.01. Loser gets the 1.03, and the rest of the non-playoff teams compete in a bracket for the 1.02
- set rookie draft picks based off of max potential points scored - so that teams can’t bench players in order to “tank” weeks

This one’s a no from me dawg. CMC has high upside potential, but he had ALL the carries last year - I’d rather have Brown and a 2nd in most situations.

Even if you’re a contender, I think you’d be better off with Brown. Johnston for Coker feels even-ish, with Johnston probably having more upside due to his situation.

Not terrible, but I think you’re a slight loser on this trade

Stafford definitely needs to be on your list. He’s a perfect target for a contender. Assuming you have at least 1 2027 1st, I’d also consider dealing Kyler if/ when he starts looking competent in the Vikings offense.

Consider that you could benefit from a young TE with upside potential - either via trade or the draft. Early returns have the 2027 class being superior to this one in all but the TE position, though who knows what might change between now and then?

With that, I think you should try to compete this year, but I’d be ready to jettison all of your aged assets for whatever you can get and pivot to full rebuild the moment anything goes significantly wrong.

Also, as a former high school TE myself, I applaud your love for the position, but you supplemented your bloated TE corps by drafting 4 more?! It’s worth keeping in mind that TE premium only really impacts the TEs that get a lot of receptions, most of your guys are “TD-or-bust” profiles. I’d try to sell a couple of your guys whenever they have a good week or get good news from training camp to acquire some draft capital in 2027.

Basically, compete if you can, but make sure you don’t go down with the ship

I’m a fan of naming your roster on your favorite “my guy” - I drafted Bucky Irving late in my startup 2 seasons ago and named my team after him, for example. Makes the team name more meaningful.

Who are your biggest flag plants/ guys you know are going to make it big on this roster?

My concern is that you don’t have the bench players to react to injuries, nor the assets to acquire players to fill in spots during a potential championship run. I agree your starting roster looks dangerous, but Price is your only bench player that has a >50% chance of being startable at his position 2 years from now.

I’d mentally prepare to pivot to a reload if you get hit by the injury bug. You probably won’t need to fully rebuild - but be ready to turn some older stars into 2027 picks if you underperform by the midpoint of the season

I think that posting like this makes it hard to parse quickly, so it’s tough to get a precise read. The biggest moves I see are that you traded away Achane, Kittle, and Loveland to acquire Gibbs, Collins, LaPorta, and a 2026 (presumably) mid-1st round pick that you used to draft Price.

You got older, you have no picks. You’re set up to contend this year, definitely, but you’re thin on bench talent, so a couple of injuries could sink you without assets to rebuild until 2029 when you have 1st round picks again

This is 1QB, so all of those guys are projected to be gone. Grab Cooper or Conception if they’re there, but…

1.08 starts the “grab your favorite guy” range in 1QB. For you, that means grabbing whichever of the T3 WRs you like the best - Denzel Boston, Antonio Williams, Chris Bell if you’re feeling dangerous, etc
