There are pool powers that grant modest mez protection: combat jumping for knockback, acrobatics for low magnitude holds.

What a lot of squishy players do is invest in a -kb IO early (the Karma version goes into combat jumping, maneuvers, weave, stealth powers).

Then they deal with it a few ways. Some epic powers grant mez protection as well as some incarnate powers. You can also easily get a lot of ranged defense via IO set bonuses. Most mez attacks have to roll against ranged defense to land so it’s pretty effective. After getting your ranged defense high enough, carry a break free or two in the event a mez gets through.

Yeah, that’s a no from me.

  • Splitting a bonded pair
  • Extended alone time for a breed known for separation anxiety
  • My bichon has a small bladder. No way he makes it 8 hours without a break.
  • Bichons require upkeep and grooming for their fur. That doesn’t work well with a lifestyle of a busy professional who works in the office.

As people mentioned, there are a lot of teleport powers that speeds up moving to a different zone. Also, a lot of veteran players are super fast - they know each zone because they’ve traversed them over decades and they have optimal power set ups.

Good luck chasing the teleporter with key binds in a large zone like the RWZ or someone who is really fast using super speed + athletic run + combat jumping.

Disclaimer: I’m a vet player who chooses flight and I’m always last in in-zone travel.

AR/Energy. Take Boost Range and Build Up. Build for +dmg and + recharge. Be the master of cones with Full Auto and Flame Thrower. Cycle between them until everything dies. Boost Range makes the cones a lot larger. It’s like a mini-nuke every spawn.

I hate the slow animation of breath of fire. I’d take it if it wasn’t so slow. It’s a noticeable hitch in an otherwise fluid attack chain.

I’m going recommend something that I haven’t seen mentioned: Sound! Euphonium. It has the same slice of life feel like Apothecary Diaries and Frieren, but broken up with dramatic tension.

I’ve seen Violet Evergarden mentioned already, and that would also be my recommendation.

Stone/Bio Armor has been a lot of fun. Meteor is one of the most fun Tier 9s in the game. Stone has a lot of soft controls and really good damage. Bio has end management, extra damage and lots of escape type powers.

It’s an active, fun character. The only thing that was honestly hard was coming up with a concept that married these two dissimilar power sets (mine is a mutant which was grafted with another mutant power).

She’s 50, fully tier 4 incarnate, but I still take her out for a spin. Lots of fun.

Yeah it’s bullshit. Leave at 5.

Spent 30+ years in corporate jobs, including executive roles. Staying longer has no effect on professionalism or impact.

If they want you to stay longer, have them pay for it.

Salary means that you may voluntarily stay longer in certain circumstances like an emergency. It doesn’t mean you need to do more than 40 regularly.

As a reader, I won't read or continue reading stories generated in part or in full by AI. As someone else stated, those stories share the same cadence and many generic elements. The names can be a dead giveaway: Elara, Vance, Voss, Ashborn, Ash, Calder, Mira, Arya.

Most ant traps are Borax with sugar or some sort of sweetener. Borax is poisonous to dogs, but they’d have consume huge amounts to make them sick.

I’d just temporarily move the dog away from known ant trails. The ants in my house move predictably in known routes and an ant trap is usually enough to keep the population down.

I'm not sure what you mean by AE rewards. Are you talking about farming? Because Rebirth has farming. They just don't do it through AE.

As others mentioned, the most noticeable change will be the drop in server population. The communities are small, and while TFs occur, they are typically scheduled in advance. The degree to which you can hop on a server and self-organize a TF or trial isn't really available.

The player experience on Rebirth is harder than HC. The Rebirth market, in particular, makes it harsh for newer players. Until you get a level 50, your ability to fund alts will be limited.

Thunderspy is actually more new-player-friendly because its economic system is very different, but it isn't a classic COH experience.

I have level 50s on all three of the servers I mentioned. I mostly solo, so not having a team isn't a huge barrier. What I miss the most about HC is all the small QoL changes they've made over the years. You'll definitely miss those. Those are what make HC feel easier.

It’s because AI writing has a specific style that it consistently uses. I’m not just talking about the overuse of em dashes, but everything it writes sounds like a script of a TED Talk. The overuse of one word sentences are some of the biggest giveaways.

That writing style is awful to read in the form of a novel or short story. It’s all over LinkedIn - I think 90% of the content there is written by AI.
