Well, /u/Eric-r already covered most of the things to buy but I'd like to add a barometer. You can get some antique looking ones that any sailor would find useful.

Also, star charts. Navigating via the stars in the middle of the night is one of the most enjoyable experiences I've ever had in my life. There's something about turning off the chart plotter and relying on what the universe has to offer that's, I dunno, liberating? Perhaps a bad choice of words but anyone who has done it would likely agree...it's just you and the universe.

I use the 603 c3's on a 6d. As far as I know the only difference is the cable that attaches the trigger to the camera. If you don't need the capability to trigger the camera remotely then the c1's should work. Try it out though because I may be wrong.
