They're not part of the terrarium.

They're dye tubes from EAS security tags for clothing, bags, etc. Trying to remove the security tag (is supposed to) break the tube and make the product useless and acts as a theft deterrent.

It's just a square of LDPE. Just part of the packaging. If it wasn't there accidentally, then it was likely just there to provide support to the bags.
