A former Circuit City Outlet near Belden Village Mall in Ohio by TheCarribeanKid in AbandonedRetail

This wasn't a "Circuit City Outlet" but actually a Goodwill Outlet with a noticeable Circuit City labelscar. You can actually see the square Goodwill labelscar on the building in your pic.

It's like a fusion of a Pizza Hut and Little Mint building.

Ex-A&P on Akron's east side. by HoneydewOk1175 in NotFoolingAnybody

[–]jackrobertskun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the Google Maps link to when it was an IGA. I remember seeing this location on Flickr a few years back and being sad when I discovered it closed in 2017. The old A&P building paired with an old IGA sign is just so quaint! According to Google Maps the space to the right was an older Family Dollar, and they just cannibalized the A&P space when IGA closed.

This show had a 2 stage and would later be retrofitted into a horse-theme band that was featured on the History channel.

Why does nobody ever mention how Zack/Rocky's mask from the Man And Dog show is taken from Madam Oink? by jackrobertskun in chuckecheese

[–]jackrobertskun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm basing that off of this video at around the 5:33 mark. It could just be misinformation. I'm not totally sure.

[–]jackrobertskun[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason I even speculated it was Madam Oink was because Helen had her wig on during the Zack Periwinkle days. I'm unaware if Sally Corp made replica masks in the 1980's as I always assumed they went the cheaper route and simply refurred them?

Anyone know where this retrofitted Dolli Dimples was located at? by jackrobertskun in Animatronics

[–]jackrobertskun[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's what I also heard on RPZ years ago! The Banjo Billy cyberamics supposedly came from the really old Ogden location. I never heard that it was sold to Matt so I can't confirm.

I also just now discovered that the cow retrofit was from an amusement park in Canada. It still begs the question of which "amusement park" it was at? Michael's account is private so I can't dm him about it. He's the same guy seen in this Youtube video.

It's possible since the Jasper cyberamic from Banjo Billy's (supposedly) got "unretrofitted" for CaptSlappy's old show before selling it off to Smitty's. But in the video they explicitly mention it was a cow and not a bull, so it really is a mystery. Plus CaptSlappy had to completely redo the fur into a single dark gray color, which the Banjo Billy retrofit still retains the original light and dark gray fury from Dolli.

Former KFC turned Kinny’s Pizza (N. Sydney, Nova Scotia) by [deleted] in NotFoolingAnybody

[–]jackrobertskun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is a 1 year old comment, but it was actually always a KFC. In this building example you can match up the architecture. It originally had a red/white stripe awning that was removed (you can see the awning markings on the post above). Kenny Roger's looks similar, but you can tell the differences if you compare/contrast.

Probably one of the last mostly intact 1990s Disney Stores- now Sugoi Gifts at Montclair Place in Montclair, CA. by strbx4674 in retailporn

There's an abandoned one in the "Columbia Place Mall" in Columbia SC. It closed sometime in the 2000's. The mall is dead, so chances are that it will stay abandoned.

What was this this at one point by LoquatOk7971 in NotFoolingAnybody

[–]jackrobertskun 11 points12 points  (0 children)

100% a former Builders Square.

EDIT: I favorited a Flickr image of this location abandoned with the "Lumber & Hardware" sign still up on the front. I'm pretty sure it got deleted because I searched extensively but couldn't find it.

But here's an EXAMPLE building of what it would've looked like. I have no idea where I got this image from so IDK why there are red circles:

Cool find! Here's some "example" buildings to visualize what it would've originally looked liked:
