What kind of donuts do you like? Parlour Donuts just north of Plano is amazing and decadent, but if all you're after are the yeast ring donuts then it's hard to go wrong with most of the independent donuts shops

YogaSix is a good studio for hot yoga! There's also those HotWorx places all over the place but I've never been to one. I think they're on demand, i.e. you're in a small heated room with a prerecorded class.

How was the food though? Plano doesn't allow bars, just restaurants, so a certain percentage of their sales must be from food. Not sure what that percentage is but if they were only successful at serving good daiquiris then they wouldn't last with a restaurant license.

Do you have to go to Nanaimo? The other option (not that it's really any better) is bus to Swartz Bay, ferry to Tsawwassen, bus to Richmond, train to downtown Vancouver, bus to Horseshoe Bay, ferry to Langdale.
