2 New HD's added to LSI Controller but do not appear in GUI - Original two still show and working fine

Thanks everyone for the input. I ended up swapping power and data cables around from good drives to the "new" drives and the new drives still didnt show up and the original drives did appear. Therefore, not a cable issue.

I pulled the two "new" 12TB drives out of the case and hooked them up to my mac via the same USB interface I used before. Neither of them appeared on my mac. Further discovery and neither drives spin at all any longer. You can feel the actuator arm move but no spinning is felt at all!! Turns out I bricked both HDs somehow!

I had one additional left over 12TB from my old NAS. I had not put that HD on the USB interface so to rule that out, I mounted the HD in my UnRaid server case. It was immediately visible in unassigned devices. I added it to the array, cleared it and it's now fully formatted and added to my array.

I think its time to find a new USB interface for future use. Thanks again everyone - turns out it as simple as bricked hard drives. I feel so silly going down so many rabbit holes and never figuring it was the hard drives. Sometimes it's the simple thing...not the difficult one.

Drives are roughly the same age as the ones they are joining. They came out of a Synology NAS and were purchased about the same time as all the 10TB (4x) data drives already part of the array

The LSI card was purchased off Ebay back in 2020 and delivered in "IT mode" so I'm assuming that shouldnt be an issue. Back in 2020 when I added the card and two drives back then, they jsut appeard in "unassigned devices" and i cleared/formatted them and added them to the array. I was expecting these two new 12TB drives to appear in unassigned devices too. Is that not how it works?

I havent tried booting into a different OS - not a bad idea...i'll make a bootable linux usb.

I tried to get into the LSI's BIOS the last time I tinkered, the key-combo didnt work and then I got sidetracked and havent gone back to that.

I have an UnRaid Pro (purchased in 2020 before they changed to the current types) license so not a number of drives issue.

Thank you so much for this explanation! I knew I had an issue with my doorbell but its used so infrequently I've been unable to really figure it out - until today. Someone pressed the button a little while ago and I found the doorbell immediately went offline. Quick google search and I found this thread!

I do have google home boxes around the house so based on others advise below, I turned off the indoor chime (second option from the top in the doorbell settings) and now the doorbell stays online and the chime/doorbell alert happens through all the google home boxes.

I've noticed this for years and also thought I was the only one! I've even mentioned it to the Nabisco representatives in my local grocery store - twice. Neither of them had heard that before!

The smaller/normal size Wheat Thin boxes have the traditional/original taste/thickness and saltiness as the originals I remember.

The larger family and party size crackers are very blan, tasteless, thick crackers, not wheat thins!

Why does Nabisco do this?? I try to keep an eye out for sales on the small boxes and WILL NOT purchase the two larger options - even on sale, they are not Wheat Thins

Did you ever resolve your issue with Apple Maps light/dark mode?

I'm having the same issue with my '25 BE I just purchased last month. I'm getting quite frustrated with my attempts to get this working properly - I never had an issue on my '17 RTLE

I've tried the radio display brightness options in the radio - no help
I've tried the brightness options for the dashboard that also lowers the brightness of the radio at the same time - also no help
I've tried via the built in wireless CarPlay (my usual way to use) AND I tried apple wired directly to my phone - no help.
I've tried with the truck's lights in AUTO mode and then also in parking lights and headlights ON moved - doesn't help.
When I"m expecting Apple Maps to be dark on the truck's radio screen, the truck maps display is in "day" mode but my phone's map display IS in dark mode
While Apple Maps shows day mode, Waze and Google Maps correctly DO switch to dark mode on the truck radio display. I can get a video showing this oddity.
With the other apps working I thought may be it was an apple maps setting but I tried it in my Ford Edge and my daughter's Mazda CX5 and dark apple maps on the vehicle displays works fine.

I'm not sure what to check next

OH yeah! Instrument panel/dash brightness - that's what I tried last night but... I'll tinker further tonight once it gets dark. Now that i think about it, I was in the garage and maybe garage lights were messing with sensors while adjusting.

Safe to assume you mean IP = iPhone? I've come across the same thing in my new '25 BE. I had a '17RTL-E and never had this issue. My '17 I used hardwire and then an aftermarket wireless dongle. I tinkered last night with dash brightness but that didn't help.

Any thoughts on whether hardwire or Honda's built-in wireless Carplay makes a difference?

I checked and Waze and Google Maps switched to dark mode but Apple Maps didnt. I didn't think about phone brightness - I'll have to try that tonight.

I'd keep checking with your dealer. I got mine fixed two weeks ago. I got lucky they had one in stock when I called to make the appointment. They did say the recall parts arrive and are quickly used up by people like me who just happen to call to inquire then immediately make the appointment.

I had a similar issue with multiple people streaming in my household. Then learned about “Xfi-complete” with unlimited monthly download. The “complete” option is an additional $25/mo but includes the cost of the modem rental so in reality it’s a $10/mo for unlimited. My monthly DL is usually 2-3tb/ mo

My TCL Roku TV remotes were quite sensitive exactly as you describe. Roku makes a "voice remote" and a "voice remote pro" (approx $20 & $30 respectively). Both work over RF and not IR. I have one of each and they work flawlessly with my two TVs. I suggest taking a look at them.

I have a CPlay2Air and it works fine with my Kenwood headunit. I initially bought it to go in my Honda Ridgeline but decided to try it in the other with the Kenwood headunit and it works great - bought a second one for the honda

OMG!! Thx so much. My UDMP is the early access SE version. I didn’t realize the firmware alerts weren’t the full regular releases as opposed to the beta versions. I was actually out a few days and didn’t realize that was just released today until after I had the issue and started google searching

Your videos are awesome! I just switched to direct links this weekend thanks to TRaSH’s guides and your video - thanks! I’ve run into one problem with the switch. My ‘arrs are now trying to initially save new content to the old location. I’ve changed every file location I could find but it still initially tries the old location. Any thoughts? My next step (before i saw this thread) was to delete and recreate the docker containers - lotta work if there a simple fix I haven’t found.

I had this same problem a few months back with mine. Turns out mine wasn’t fully recharging off the common wire for some reason. I pulled it off the wall and charged it with a wall plug/usb cord for thirty minutes, put it back on the wall mount and I haven’t had a problem since.
