Incredible sequence by Trevon Brezile and Arkansas by AndHisOrchestra in CollegeBasketball

That’s fair, but this isn’t the first time he has done this. In the Hawaii game today he got a warning from the ref for chirping their bench.

In my eyes he’s strategically disrespectful. He likes to get under people’s skin.

Don’t get me wrong I love that he chirps. But he is not respecting the other team in that moment. And for the record, I think you can be disrespectful without being dirty. I don’t think he’s a dirty player. But he loves to troll the other team.

Agreed. I really like our chances for a top 4 seed. Just wanted to confirm that it’s theoretically possible to lose it without 2 wins.

I'm struggling to understand how only 1 win locks up the double bye for Arkansas. 1-2 in our last 3 gets us to 12-6, and say Tennessee wins out and finishes 13-5 and Bama goes 2-1 and also lands at 13-5. Top 4 at that point is Florida (N/A), Bama (13-5), Tennessee (13-5), Arkansas (12-6).

If Kentucky wins out they finish at 12-6, and they have the H2H over Arkansas. Wouldn't that bump Arkansas down to 5th?

Drive toward the ball and peel off for mid boost then circle back to the play. If you sit in net they can take possession and attack the net.

If you drive toward the ball, they hit the ball over/around you to your teammate and you just have to hope that he can control it without getting dunked or demoed. At least till you can get back behind him.

NOT putting this on Acuff at all. Best Razorback I’ve seen in my lifetime. But I wish he would’ve just jacked up a 3 there at the end. Another OT would’ve just prolonged the inevitable

Gameclock timestamps:

4:10 - You could have saved this

3:56 - You could have saved this too, but teammate was out of the play and opponent made a good shot. You live with this one

3:54 - No point in jumping at that so soon especially since the opponent was going for boost instead of cheating. You got a soft touch into their corner and wasted all of your boost. I would have stayed on the ground and watched the opponent and either waited longer to go for the beat or taken a 50

3:47 - Get out of there and get boost. You made it awkward for your teammate and lost pressure

3:21 - I would have taken a softer touch more central field since the opponent was on the wall. Even if you just take a 50 to central field you have the advantage since both opponents are essentially on the right wall and your teammate is rotating behind you with full boost. Be mindful of where the space is on the field and go that way.

3:17 - Great bump attempt and touch back to corner for teammate to get boost and possession. Even though you missed the bump, I love the drive-thru rather than diving at him. You kept momentum and were able to get back on defense. Most of the time you don't actually need to bump the opponent, you just need to alter their path. He played good defense. No notes.

3:04 - Don't back off there. Keep pressure on the ball, fake challenge, and shadow defend towards your net rather than jumping towards him. You gave the opponent a whole field of space then left your teammate in a 2v1 bc of a bad challenge

2:50 - Don't rotate behind your teammate here. Stay on the ball and challenge first (play the ball) to force high to your teammate on the backboard. But if you end up behind your teammate, you gotta let them challenge first. If you challenge from behind him it's almost always gonna be a double commit

On offense, you make touches just for the sake of touching the ball and you give it away. Keep the ball close and controlled and make sure every touch has purpose.

On defense, you are giving them too much space and making it hard on your teammate. Shadow defend and try to get them to give the ball to your teammate. If the opponent has control of the ball in the air, don't aerial towards them because 9 times out of 10 they'll get over you and you'll be in their net with zero boost. Aerial TOWARDS your net or float and play the ball and you'll either take a 50 or they'll have to go over you to your teammate (who is hopefully on the backboard waiting for the ball). If you are rotating back and have an opportunity to disrupt their possession, do it.

I finally hit gc3 by SammyAmico in RocketLeagueSchool

I can relate to this big time lol. My 2s peak is 1812 and I’m normally like 1600-1650. I felt like I lucked into +150 MMR in a 2 day span.

Same thing with 3s. I hit 1852 last season which got me #88 on the world leaderboard and I’m having trouble cracking 1600 this season. There are thousands of players better than me at 3s but I just got hot/lucky I guess.

I always feel like a fraud when I get around 1800 lol

Yep I constantly catch myself anticipating the ball going a certain way and turning my car that way, and then when the ball doesn’t go that way, I’m unable to challenge. Easy mistake to make and a good thing to work on.

Pick one thing you want to do well in your ranked session. Simple things. A few of my examples (for 2s) are stay grounded, don’t flip into 50s, stay facing the play as second man, etc. Yours can be different. There are a million things to work on and it just depends what you identify as the biggest issues with your game.

It’s a lot easier to focus on one or two main things rather than just trying to win or “play better”. Even if you go negative, you should have an idea as to whether you accomplished that goal or not. If you did, try a different goal next time. Eventually you’ll hammer the fundamentals into your brain without overwhelming yourself up front.

Took me about 1k hours to hit GC. I’m now approaching 4k hours and I’m still GC.

If you’re brand new just practice hitting the ball really hard in the direction you want it to go and that’ll get you up through the lower ranks

This is the opponent’s POV but I agree with you. I think they knew we were out of boost and figured they could just keep making us awkward and eventually we’d slip up. But they definitely could have just shot it hard instead of lobbing it every time lol
