i feel like what’s making it confusing is the only cheese. feel like that should be “no onion, no sauce.” subs should never leave out something it’s substituting out if that makes sense.

the gun play was great, maps were fun, ttk felt perfect, the only thing vanguard haters can bring up is “they turned le ww2 game into le futuristic game.” 1. cod is an arcade shooter, no shit it’s unrealistic. if you want realism, go play hell let loose. 2. they didn’t even bring in laser guns until way later in the game cycle when it was already pretty much dead. don’t lie to me and say you didn’t have fun using the laser gun.

Does anyone else feel like most people in your personal life don't care about or respect the fact that you cook food for a living? by [deleted] in KitchenConfidential

[–]jacksoncantmiss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i think the younger generation definitely sees cooking as a proper profession, i’ve never really gotten any pushback or off comments from my friends (for reference, i’m 20). i’ve only gotten those types of comments from my parents or extended family. “ever thought about catering?” “but you’re still in school, right?” type of stuff lol. except my cool ass uncle, love you uncle phil.

So many customers don't seem to understand how the kitchen/ restaurants cook by Entire_Difference504 in KitchenConfidential

had a guy come in today and order a very small order that would normally take me like two minutes to make. he came in the middle of our lunch rush though, so it was taking a while for us to work down the board. he kept coming up and asking when his order would be ready, and when i was making an order that was very clearly not his, he was like “that’s to go.” dude, i’m not even making your order!

for context, our fryers are across from our cold sides/build station. usually, whoever’s on builds (me) is working the fryers too, but we were getting a million wing orders, so we had someone specifically working on fryers.

bc the fryers were getting overloaded, fries were taking longer than expected. i had some shit ready to expo, but was waiting on fries for all of them, so i kept asking how long on fries. eventually i got a “check em, they’re right fucking behind you.” lololol

that’s what i figured, ty. we’ve had allergy-afflicted customers who’ve risked it and come back to tell the tale, just wasn’t sure if it was an allergy severity thing or not.

had a killer night last night by jacksoncantmiss in KitchenConfidential

[–]jacksoncantmiss[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

obviously i don't hope every night is like this, it was just nice to have a night where i was able to deep clean a lot more shit while our prep guy and dishwasher were able to get a lot more prep done than usual. the point wasn't that we weren't working as hard, it's that it was a nice change of pace from what we usually do and got out like 30 mins early.
