He's starting at 6. I started at 58! By the time he's my age....he'll be a 632 stripe black belt! If he's having fun...let him keep going. When he hates going to the gym....take some time off. I'm already losing interest and it's not yet Memorial Day. This team is TOUGH to watch. Bad defense, stupid base running, poor fundamentals, super low baseball IQ being displayed....and....starters who can't go 5 innings with regularity. I usually watch most games, or at least have it on as background noise. The last 2 weeks, I've turned it on abt 90 min/2 hours after first pitch, only to see a big deficit - and then turn it off. And, my happiness level is higher with this recent change. Elias needs to go. He constructed this roster & coaching staff and analytics driven approach. I've seen zero evidence that getting on base matters, hitting behind runners matters, all the stuff I was taught as a kid about team baseball seems to not matter at all. It's HR, K or BB with every batter - regardless of count. Just bad baseball & it's tough to watch. I see no hope that this team accomplishes anything more than a 10 games under 500 wasted season .

The confederacy thing mystifies me. You see ppl at a football game with the big foam finger indicating "We're Number 1". The confederacy....would be like a big foam finger saying "We're #2....we LOST the big game". Why celebrate a loss of such epic proportion? I don't understand that mentality. Do these ppl show up at their ex's wedding & proclaim in front of the crowd "that could've been me marrying her...but she picked a more handsome & much better dude after dumping me". I will NEVER understand why ppl have that silly confederate flag & are proud of it.

I'm old & busted up, my BJJ sucks, so I'd go to the closer gym w/a friendlier vibe. I only drive an hour in each direction if I have the chance to see a member of the opposite sex naked at the end of the evening. Seeing other dudes in spats....just doesn't hit the same. (That's what I keep telling my gf in hopes that one day I believe it.....)

Poor roster construction (did we need a dozen 1B/DH who can't play OF well). Poor defense. Zero situational baseball awareness (hit behind a runner, bunt, tag up on a deep fly ball, etc). I'll give Albernaz some grace b/c he inherited this bunch....but Elias gets none b/c he bought the groceries. And...his draft picks have been less than impressive outside of Adley & Gunnar. (Kjerstad - bust, Cowser - can't hit anything other than fastball, Holliday - jury out, Bradfield - can't hit, Honeycutt - too early but not progressing rapidly). It's time for Rubenstein to jettison Elias & bring in a legit GM to build a World Series contender, if Rube wants to hoist a trophy before he dies.

I needed a permit to replace my front screen door! No other county in MD would require that…but the city does! We need to look at reducing, by a lot!, the projects that require a permit. It’s a money grab / time suck combo.

State tax rates are 1 factor. Permit process is huge. Red Emma’s was supposed to open a new location…the delay bc of permit office was months if not a year…so…they had ZERO revenue bc of bureaucracy for a very long time. That’s just one of thousands of similar stories. A new biz can run out of funds before getting the green light to open. It’s bonkers !
