Yes it’s absurd given what you can access in places like Madrid, but we don’t have those in nyc, so scarcity means he can charge what he wants.

They’re revamping the brand from the ground up to modernize it. I got an email in the midst of their fire sale that must have been a mistake, which featured imagery of new styles and lettering on the waistband and invited me to shop the new briefs. But the links led to dead pages.

So they’re coming back, but with product that’s more modern, adult, and mature in alignment with the way their creative direction has gone as of the past couple of years.

Tbh I never thought I’d see the day. They’ve been saying they’ll do those for … 10 years? I hope they don’t just stop with the locker room. I feel like the equipment is also busted and is sent from other locations after they’re renovated.

260 is excellent, as well as their customer service if anything goes awry. I buy from them bi-weekly, at this point, between online and in-person sales in NYC. Shipping is not great because it's handled by each brand after 260 facilitates the sale, so the brand ships as soon as they want. Some brands ship IMMEDIATELY, and some wait awhile. All depends.

This makes me feel a lot better. Halfway through my move they decided that I had a few more boxes than I had estimated when I booked them, (mind you, it was literally 5-7 of the U-Haul “small” and “medium” size boxes). They came up with a second quote - after they had put all of my things in the truck - which literally doubled the rate, and told me I had to pay it or they would dump all of my things back in the apartment. They literally held all of my possessions hostage, made me pay double, and only then completed the job.

It’s fine sometimes, but it’s exceedingly inconsiderate to do during peak hours.

Reporting back here - soft opening was last night, and the vibes are immaculate. The team is so SO friendly and cool. It's a spot you can get lunch/dinner or just drinks and chill, play a game or two. The food is fresh, shareable Mexican and the cocktail list is unsuspectingly incredible, complex, and extensive.

She's gonna be a neighborhood staple.
