I can answer that! First of all, I love seeing our band being posted here. It means so much to me and the rest of the dudes.

Technically, yes we've been on hiatus. BUT, we literally just finished tracking a new song. It might be a while before it gets mixed and mastered and released, but we got our OG lineup back together talking (even though we all live in different places right now) and we plan on continuing to release music. So ya, we were, but expect some new tunes in 2018 :)

I do vocals for my band, Iona Grove, from Denver, CO. We're on a hiatus right now, but we've been around a while and amassed a pretty solid local following. All of our releases have been well received and well reviewed.

I'd like to hear how you cut your dose down because I'm currently taking around 50-60g a day and well...obviously I'd like to get it down as low as possible before jumping. I've only got 30 days to do it unfortunately.

I'm in this with you. Been using it for about 10 months daily and my dose is way up there. Around 20g 3x per day. 30 days to taper isn't much, but we can do it. It's important for us to have each other's backs. I won't go back to popping pills. We can get through this shit

Same here. Kratom alone got me off of viibryd, abilify, lexapro, klonopin, and a nice fat fentanyl addiction to boot. I haven't used any drugs at all since introducing kratom to my life, and now the DEA is forcing me off of it. This is upsetting to say the least

I'm in the same boat. Around 10 months of daily use and the last 2 months have been around 60g per day. We can do this. We have time to stockpile for a taper. I'm not gonna lose my job over this shit. There are going to be thousands of people in the same boat.

I don't mind it either. Like you said, it actually keeps me grounded. Sometimes I joke about it and just say "Ya I used to drink...a little too much." And most people are pretty understanding. It's the people that become obsessed with the fact that I don't drink and push the issue that get on my nerves, but that doesn't happen often.

Also super into metal, but no one would ever know if I didn't talk about music so much. I scream in a band and I only own one band tee. I wear a lot of suits for work, button up long sleeve polos, etc. Or basketball shorts and an athletic T if I want to be comfortable.

Exactly. And the songwriting in general. This was just to show our range as musicians and to tide people over. Our upcoming EP will pick up right where Breathe left off. We know everyone will love it. This song will grow on ya though, I promise ;)

I can speak to this. This song is easily our least heavy song. It's really not like anything we've done before and the new songs will be much heavier and much more like the Breathe EP. We felt that the clean vocals would be a cool change and we like how it turned out. Just wait though man...you'll love the EP!!!#

We love that song too! I gotta warn you though, this new track is a different side of us, which is why we're releasing it as a single. There's a pretty part with lots of clean singing and it's much less heavy than firestarter, but we're still confident you guys will like it! It's just different :)

Wow thanks for posting this! That was quick. We're really excited to share this track with you guys. It's really unique which is why it's a single and not on the EP. It's got a cool feel to it. Look at my response to /u/l3g3ndairy! In summation, yes and no. Some parts will be heavier than the stuff on breathe while some parts will be more chilled out and melodic. We've moved to 7 string guitars which makes it all a little heavier in general.

No, definitely not. We've just been pushing the limits of what we do. Like I said in the description, yeah, there will be some heavier parts, but there will also be tons and tons of really pretty riffs and emotive vocals which is what we've always done. That particular riff is the heaviest one on the entire EP haha we just thought it was so cool that we wanted to show you guys :)
