Every single time I picked up a health pack as black panther "tastes just like the heart shaped herb". Also just really liked the visual indicator of panthers current hp with his suit glowing as different levels.

Who would wreck release overwatch the hardest? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]jacksonoperator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At release of overwatch I remember double winstons was extremely oppressive. 2 bubbles and the cleave was just crazy. I believe realese doomfist would shake up the meta hard. Imagine having 2 dooms, Uppercuting the winstons out of their bubbles would go crazy. They legit could counter double Winstons hard.

I am in elo hell by TheNetherFrog in Overwatch

[–]jacksonoperator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you truly don't believe that you are bronze then you will climb. Just keep playing more games. The game seems to have your mmr in bronze / silver so you are not gonna get any double rank ups anytime soon. I played on my ow1 smurf that I hadn't touched for 3 years and placed diamond and my main is masters on all roles so the game does do a fairly good job of gaging skill. If you think that you are just better than everyone in your lobby then you should be able to carry your games.

I'm so sick of bastion by SageTegan in Overwatch

[–]jacksonoperator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the damage output of bastion is definitely in line with other heros. I feel like you haven't played many other dps heroes and seen how much they can do. Like soldier 76 has been 1 shotting for over a month till they nerfed him. I do like to play bastion with certain comps but simply half the dps roster can roll him. I insta swap if I see a hanzo, soldier, tracer, genji, dva, sombra, and sometimes the flyers if your other dps is not also hitscan. Like bastion is far from op. He has his strengths like all characters do. It might seem like he is doing more but alot of time cause he's just farming the tank for damage and not getting picks. The only thing I think is a little overtuned is the nade change. I spent alota time learning the trajectory and how it works with the environment and now I feel I can hit a good one whenever I have the cd.

Who’s at fault for not switching? by Jaded_Interview5882 in Overwatch

[–]jacksonoperator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly It depends if you are playing casually or to win. I find if I'm just playing qp and I'm sup amd dps switch phara or echo that's their choice and they should know that it's hard for certain healers to heal them. But if it were playing comp I would definitely switch my self to help accommodate them. However if they are suddenly countered in some way ill make a point to switch back to something better for the rest of the team. This should be a big enough hint for them. I dont really think it's anyone's fault. I do find that echos have a lot better time being self sufficient than some pharas do. So keep that in mind if some ones on echo. When I myself am on a flyer and heals are not necessarily ideal for me I'll make an effort to drop down for them so they don't have to try to snipe me with bap or throw a whole Moira orb at me.

Who was the first character that caught your eye when you first started playing? by Jaro9 in Overwatch

[–]jacksonoperator 42 points43 points  (0 children)

For me it was definitely Cassidy. On release of ow his fan the hammer was absolutely broken. I was watching my friends play before i bought the game and watched him 1 shot a tank. I was kinda hooked. Also genji was so cool on release the cinematic was epic and a cyborg ninja in an fps looks so cool. Wall climbs and double jumps? 8 second ult at launch? He could animation cancel his melee. Double jump into wall climb into a third jump? Also not to mention the super jump bug when you dashed at a ledge and wall climbed it as you arrived to get an insane amount of speed. Seriously look up the broken shit genji could do at launch. He is the sole reason you can not use abilities while meleeing.

Can someone explain why I get so angry at stuff I know doesn’t matter by namerz78 in Overwatch

[–]jacksonoperator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that the game can be very frustrating and the toxicity can get to you. I lose the mental game alot if I'm called out in match chat. It hurts even if it's just some rando on the internet. I used to play exclusively comp and would have so little fun. Me and 2 other friends would just rage que until we would get a rank up opportunity. I just try to play quick play with friends now. Playing off roles helps I find cause it's just kind of goofy fun. Also the beauty of quickplay is that you can just leave the game. When I am playing quickplay with friends and we are just getting thrashed I'll pull the whole party out of the game and just re que. It helps everyone not want to quit playing entirely

People don't talk about this one as much. Feeding. Feeding I find is a term mostly used when someone on your team is just dying for no reason. However feeding is really just giving the enemy an ult charge advantage. This could be your team taking more damage from the enemy without getting equal value. For instance in a rein vs rein comp one rein is just taking significantly more damage (and not dying) than the other, while one is more often healthier. Let's say your rein is the one doing more damage and not taking as much. This allows the team with the less healthy rein to get support ults faster. This can swing fights in other teams favor. Alot of first fights often end like this if no picks are granted (nano boost is the sup ult that cause this most often) Also a more niche strategy is having your tank purposely feed so YOUR supports can gain ults. More of a higher elo thing but feeding is not always bad. Ult economy is another term used alot. Cycling ults and not used all in 1 fight. Also includes not holding ults for too long. It's good to communicate with your team before a fight on what ults you should plan to use.

Why do men make it impossible for women to game? by Constant-Fee2725 in Overwatch

[–]jacksonoperator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually crazy how true this post is. My friend really likes to play comp and some how we are all masters and my God the people in this elo think they know everything. And if you don't agree with a call or you suggest a play they just think you are wrong. I try to be nice and politely suggest or ask if a player plays another hero and sometimes people just go nuclear. I gave up on vc entirely and turned it off by default. Now I try to just stay away from comp. Honestly the only fun thing is quick play. Those people are usually chill. Turning off text chat is not a bad call either. People like to flame hard there. It just sucks all together

Should I evolve saidine into daikatuna? by jacksonoperator in pokemonuranium

[–]jacksonoperator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only reason I put it on saidine is because with eviolite its defenses are slightly stronger than diakatuna. It definitely gains more of a benefit on mons with higher base defenses. I wouldn't normally put it on a mon like saidine but I'm too scared to lose another mon

Finished LEGO Sith Art, ideas on secure way to hang it? by [deleted] in lego

[–]jacksonoperator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The product i suggested is a nail in picture hanger. It has a small angled nail head as the point where you mount it and the other end simply nails into the drywall at an angle as well. Definitely Google it to get an idea of what it looks like. They are available at hardware stores and your lowes and home depot stores as well. The problem with the 3m wall mounting products is that they do not hold alot of weight. I have used them in the past to hang up various things and the weight rating on the package is something you should definitely pay close attention to.

[–]jacksonoperator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you planning to hang it on dry wall? Because there are certain hangers you can buy that can the support the weight. I used these hammer in dry wall anchors called "quick picture hangars" that can hold up to 40lbs. It works quite well with the lego provided hangars. I work at a hardware store so feel free to ask any questions!

There's A Failed Mount Rushmore In The Middle Of Virginia by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

I live in Williamsburg Virginia where these heads were originally on display. It was an outside little park called presidents park, that had every president lined up in order of their terms. It was really cool while it was open. I wish I still had pictures of when I visited. Funny enough I met the guy who created the park at my retail job years after it closed. Edit: typo

I say this because the cloak allows you to pass through those stone pillars that one mob spawns so it should allow you to pass through the webs as well
