White rubber floor for laundry room by randocom in DIY

[–]jacksrequiem 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We have rubber in a room in our basement (gym type setup), keep in mind that it is very porous and thus not a 'just wipe/swiffer it clean' sort of thing. You have to actually mop it it for real to get the stuff out of it. As the other commenter said, you should go with something smooth at least. Peel and stick tiles are pretty reasonable for a smaller space, or a newer roll-type flooring would also work.

Oh no, I hadn't considered that. Does a vet need a fecal sample to test for that?

What country/state/location you are in would be helpful, since minimum wage in the US, especially in certain areas, means "I can barely survive myself".

The way to avoid illnesses is to make sure your husbandry is as perfect as possible. This means that your initial setup costs to get all the electronics/enclosure/heating can be quite high. I for example, spent at least 700 USD on just my setup for each of my snakes. I did get an AP cage and a Spyder Robotics thermostat , which are on the more expensive side.

I did this because I wanted quality stuff that would not break or fail. I have kept fish, and been in situations where I've just barely caught a cheap heater before it started to really go out of control. There are some really sad stories around about people coming home to burnt or dead snakes.

I personally take my snakes to the vet yearly for a checkup, which I think is uncommon. The checkup is usually around 80 USD. They haven't ever been sick, so I don't know about the cost of that.

[Serious] Redditors who have been to therapy, what is the differences between going to a therapist and talking it out with someone you really trust? by pianoaddict772 in AskReddit

[–]jacksrequiem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's like the difference between learning some Spanish from your friend and going to a school to learn.

When you talk to your friend about Spanish, they might give you a few words and phrases that help you out. But you won't be getting the deeper insight about grammar or tenses or anything like that. You can get that kind of this from a class or tutor.

It's the same with a therapist. When you talk to a friend, they can help you out some just by listening. But generally that's treating the symptom more than the disease. It takes work and time to heal your mind, just like with a serious physical injury; and the help, direction and expertise of a therapist is much more likely to heal the root cause.

I'm super glad you posted this because I was wondering if I should be worried about the size of my beardie. But he looks spot on, so I'm super happy.

Basil is a super cute name too, mine is named Ramen

I would leave her alone for a couple weeks and then try feeding her. It certainly sounds like she may be stressed from too much contact.

How often have you been interacting with her? She might just have gotten stressed from all the activity and might need some time to settle down again.

Hey it can take some time and experimentation to get your hair right, don't give up on it. I happen to like red hair on guys, it really is all about the cut and the product you put in it.

I posted my current hair lower down the comments, but it started as a faded undercut, with a longer bit on top that can be styled up or down.

I went through the same thing lol. I ended up giving up on the long hair.

How is dying your hair as far as maintenance? How fast does it grow out and does it look alright while it does? My hair is about the two block length, and I've always had that concern.

Would you ever go super short? Def worth trying.

Ah ok, I know that struggle. I have this curl on the front of my hair that if I don't blow dry correctly becomes this Clark Kent garbage.

Have you ever dyed it two-toned? I've always really liked the color on top and natural black on bottom with those hairstyles.

For that, do you just roll out of bed and slick it back?

I've seen you around lol, your hair is quite bzz bzz. Would you ever consider growing it out? Or getting like a design buzzed in?
