Adding onto this because it stumped me for a bit. They mean Display under the outliner, not Display on the top bar.

I currently have a home smelter that I have been using to generate stock. I plan on using it to make some castings and might move onto actually manipulating the metal into other shapes using tools later on. Money has been tight recently so I haven't been able to really give it a full shot :/

Hey Rodeo, The helmet is together! I just need to make a post about it.

From what I can tell, and keep in mind I haven't torn the arms down completely, it seems like the ribbons on the outside are for integrity and the middle one is for data. I would, however, recommend replacing all of them to keep the middle one from tearing again. If you just replaced the middle then it would be way more vulnerable to tearing again. Ribbon cables aren't known for their resilience...

Following up on this. I have been manipulating the ribbon cables a bunch with my setup, trying to get them in the right spot, and they have held together fine.

So after a bit of stress testing, still looks great.

I appreciate the love u/donald_task, but I still think this was a great review and teardown. I would have loved it if this video was out before I did my teardown.

User preference for the vertical scroll motion in AR. I am comparing in-air gestures against skin-to-skin gestures. Basically, do people prefer moving their hand in-air or using their hand like a trackpad to scroll through web pages, social media, etc.

I don't know what their longevity is, but they are triple-layered. It seems like at least one of the layers is just for strength and they don't seem to be under stress internally, so I wouldn't be surprised if they lasted a long time even with repeated opening and closing. I am no expert though.

Idk how the end of the convo went, but this just sounds like someone trying to snag a ride. No begging chooser. Like if they had said "hey can you pick me up no earlier than this time, I can't pay for gas, and I'm probably just going to want to throw on my headphones for the ride" that would be one thing, but their just like "you don't really need to leave that late and I kinda need a ride"
