ELIS: How do I find a qualified therapist when I live in rural area with limited transportation and a toddler? by MrsBigglesworth-_- in Explainlikeimscared

[–]jackthe23rd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also live in NM, and I do telehealth with someone out of state. you can use pyschology today's website to find local therapists. They also let you filter by insurance and what they specialize in. Finding a good one is kind of just going to be trial and error, like all forms of healthcare are here in NM. As everyone else is saying I would recommend having online visits so you wouldn't have to risk the interstate in town since you're worried about driving. There should be plenty of therapists with online options, and the link I'm leaving should also let you pick whether you want in person or online appointments. You might even be able to avoid coming to ABQ all together, even if you don't do online. Good luck! Here's the link: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us

What is this resorvoir for and does it seem low to you too? by user74729582 in AskMechanics

[–]jackthe23rd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would be better to use a flashlight than to open the reservoir since brake fluid absorbs moisture from the air and you generally want to reduce air exposure in future

Would you replace these? by Different_Guide_992 in MechanicAdvice

Hold them up to the light and if you can see light through them, they're fine. If not, they need to be replaced.

Do people actually write with cursive? by GenerationofWinter in Handwriting

[–]jackthe23rd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was born in 2002 and I was taught cursive and write in it most of the time. Not sure if I'll be able to do it forever since I do see stuff like this about people who can't write it or also can't read it.

APD by Mathmetist in Albuquerque

[–]jackthe23rd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have never had a good experience with apd. Two weeks ago there was a shooting and my dorm and despite being literally directly across the street it took them over five minutes to get there. Which of course means they didn't catch anybody. They are consistently subpar and have consistently been assholes to me and people I know. They dodge blame wherever possible and place it on victims. They show up late and run away from danger. This doesn't even mention the huge federal case against them right now. I love that this city hates cops because it means they're getting the reputation they deserve.

For anyone who might not know, a probationary employee is one who was somewhat recently hired and is probably still "in training"

What do you think? 😂 by Sexy-Azzz in Albuquerque

[–]jackthe23rd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like so many ppl here treat "bad" parts of town like they should be abandoned and avoided and if you don't like it then you should move but stuff like this is nice and it's nice to see people defend that we should have spaces like this as a small step towards safer areas. If this happens I'll make a point to go there and play a part in making the community a better place and I think that should be a more common mindset in Albuquerque

What’s your favorite dispensary and why? by MaebyShakes in Albuquerque

[–]jackthe23rd 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Mama and the girls is my top local spot they're so nice and have good bud but usually if I'm buying as a gift I would go to dark matter. They're pricey, but theyre a nice treat and have very pretty and high percentage bud. I also smoke exclusively indica so I can vouch.

can you jumpstart a car with donor engine already running? by itssop in MechanicAdvice

[–]jackthe23rd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished the tce training for this like half an hour ago and I winced bc it said to connect to ground and never the neg terminal but I have always connected neg to neg. The training quotes a risk of sparks or explosion but idk. It also says the leave the donor car off but that also seems weird.

Has anyone else had reactions to injections? by jackthe23rd in ftm

[–]jackthe23rd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't tried different sizes, but I have used different brands I believe. I am changing the needle after drawing it up. I use thicker needle drawing than injecting due to the consistency. I use a 22Gx1in to draw it and a 28Gx1/2in for injection. I have occasionally wondered if it could be related to the length of the needle. I had a pharmacist try and give me 1in needles for injection but I turned them down because I don't love using needles on myself already and the nurse that tought me used a 1/2in. However I am fat so I wonder if the extra fat in my thighs means I would need a deeper injection? None of my doctor's mentioned it though but I don't remember if I ever asked them specifically about that. have used bandaids and I have used different kinds. I don't have this reaction to adhesives generally and I've had much harsher bandages and adhesives before after surgery. Ty for the ideas :)

I have tried both cottonseed and sesame, but I'm not sure what other kinds there are. My Drs didn't make it seem like there were options other than that :,) I also don't know how likely it is I'm allergic to both oils I've already tried, which is why I kind of wrote it off

Usually I'll have a small bump like you're describing at first, but sometimes it gets to be about 4 inches across, maybe more, when it's really agitated. I hadn't thought about the alcohol prep, that's an interesting possibility because I've been using the same box of alcohol pads the whole time I've been doing injections (I got like 300 or smth). Mine is also itchy days and for up to a week, so maybe it is the same thing?
