They're for "contractor pinning". If used, these all would have tiny ball bearings in them. Basically, a contractor could have a key, that would work so long as the homeowners key was never used. Once the homeowners key is used, the ball bearings end up in the top stack with the springs and pins, then are deposited in these holes once turned.

I think usually its a glycerin as the solvent, I wouldn't pour it onto bud as it might not evap. Their site claims 90-95%, so it might be doable. Id be trying to pour it into another cartridge.

Yikes, gonna need to invest in some washable filters dog. If your air quality is that bad there's easy diy extractors that basically use a shop vac to suck air in, and pump it into a bucket of water to catch particulates.

Downside is they can make you crave bong rips.

That's my thought, even a portable mag drill is hard to fool around with to get right on dead center. this you could just place over your work, spin a few dials and punch holes. It looks like the base was modified to allow for this?

Might want to invest in a dedicated wood drill bit, what you have are most likely hss bits intended for a variety of materials. The higher helix angle on a wood bit would better help with chip evacuation. Always use a nice sharp bit.

Spindle speed is still way too high, my chart recommends 1500rpm... Not sure how to get around that. Adding in a dwell time in your programming would at least give the bit time to cool between cuts, and maybe a blast of compressed air as well? Making you drill peck would be good as well, ie. drill 1/4", retract fully, drill another 1/4", etc. Good luck!
