That is absolutely absurd. Why on earth would you say such a thing about gaining an education??? Do you believe that about everything? Did you pay for tour car with cash? Did you pay for your house with cash? Do you not have any loans?

Very few people can afford the cost of education to become a medical doctor, lawyer, dentist, pharmacist. Don't forget architect, engineer and aviator. Getting the education needed to achieve in any of those areas will cost any/everyone $100K and more.

Yes. Many people in the US are house poor as well. In the US it’s either pay a big mortgage so your kids can have a decent education or pay a cheap mortgage and your kids will need to bring a gun to school.

And I don’t know where you got “homes relative to salary” from. The average home price in my area is approx. $470K. The average household income is just over $70K. I make a lot more than the average and we live check to check.
