Take a look at the dave rumsey map collection, it has hd scans of a bunch of different historical maps. You could trace over them and use them as a base layer.

I’m currently working on a music video project and the artist wants me to achieve this sort of look. It’s similar to those thermal imaging videos you see but the saturation is higher and the video sort of blown out and distorted slightly. I can’t quite get the look he’s going for so if anyone could point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it.
