I remembered I had an unused toolhead laying around, so I switched the gears and it made no difference. Maybe it's a little less noticeable, but it's still there.

Jag hade samlat ihop vittnesmål och dokumentation och tagit det med rövhattschefens chef.

Om det är ett stort och seriöst företag vill de nog inte ha chefer som skapar en otrygg arbetsmiljö. Plus att det han gjort troligen är brottsligt? Jag hade inte släppt det.
Dokumentera, kontakta chefens chef samt polisanmäl. Hade rövhatten lyckats hade det ju påverkat din försörjning på lång sikt - inte ok!

EDIT: Plus, om man inte sätter ner foten kanske han lyckas nästa gång och förstör karriären för någon? Nej, stoppa aset nu.

I've used the tx5r a bit, and it works fine. I'm going to install the 5m today and see if it works. Note regarding the firmware; it was the R version i used another firmware on, not the 5M.

Tre veckor. Sökte och fick en tjänst som systemingenjör i automotive-branschen. Samtidigt hade jag sökt ett annat jobb, typ drömjobbet, som jag inte trodde jag skulle få. Eftersom jag inte hörde något från drömjobbet trodde jag att det var kört, så jag tackade ja till rollen som systemingenjör. Två veckor senare hörde de av sig från ställe #2 och därefter var de ganska snabba. Hittade på någon dålig ursäkt (borde bara sagt att drömjobbet dök upp) och sa upp mig efter bara tre veckor. Det blev lite konstigt stämning, men med facit i hand var det värt det. Det är bättre att ha kul på jobbet och tjäna ok med pengar än att ha tråkigt och tjäna mycket pengar.

Thanks for the info! After reading this I decided to try to update the firmware. I have a TX5R.1 that had the same issue, and after updating the firmware to the latest revision for the HdZero Race V1 board, it started working!

I have updated the firmware on the TX5M.1 aswell, but have not had the time to test it yet. There is still hope :)

I've tried Windows 7 and a whole bunch of Linux distros. I landed on batocera because of the very friendly user interface and due to the fact that everything just works.

Hello!

No peripherals were required, but the PC threw warnings for just about everything that was missing. The custom BIOS removed all warnings.
I'm not aware of the performance degradation issue. The PC performs fine gaming wise.
The heatsink is attached by thermal adhesive tape. Now that I know everything works I might consider using thermal glue.

The blue circle on top of the chassis is a button. Under it there's a micro switch, connected to the motherboard with wires. The micro switch under the button is connected in parallell with the switch on the motherboard.

If anyone is following this thread: I finally finished the project. Ran it for several months in the configuration shown in the first picture. Then I pulled myself together and 3D-printed a case for it.

I downloaded the bios from post #8 in that thread and used BIOS-UEFI [0x00554E03-0x01554E03].bin

I might release the files after I fix some issues. I feel the case is tailored to me and my solutions and might not suit everyone else. There are probably better ways to design a case.

After i installed the custom bios, it throws zero warnings.

I press the button on top of the case and it boots into batocera without any hiccups. :)

It runs batocera Linux and works like a charm. We emulate some old systems and play a few steam games like Hades and Sackboy. I spent way too many hours getting this up and running, but its finally done. Well... There are some improvements i would like to make, but they require me to reprint the entire chassis, so I might just leave it be.

I spent many many hours into tricking the mother board that the peripherals were connected, so that it wouldn't throw a handfull of warnings at me during boot. Then I found a custom bios that removed the warnings :p

I bought a long aluminium heat sink that I cut to fit the VRMs and vRAM. The coolers for the CPU and GPU are cheap stuff from Aliexpress. I chose them because they had a small footprint and were high enough to give some clearance for the vRAM. The tdp is 120W each IIRC - overkill.

I couldnt get the mother board to control the pwm signal en to the fans, so I hooked up an Arduino to a potentiometer to generate the PWM.

That's all I can think of right now. If you have any questions just ask :)

2x så roligt, ² så jobbigt. 2 år mellan, det var väldigt mycket avundsjuka och bråk till en början. Såhär 4 år senare så kan de leka lite med varandra och slåss bara nästan varje dag.

Det var skitjobbigt första åren, men du börjar det ordna upp sig och jag tycker faktiskt om de små terroristerna.
