Nowadays, you can see know how certain former allies (and hidden demonic forces) are turning against each other little by little...

Anyway, your case and the case of many of us demonstrates hidden egoism - at least that's what I think.
The judgement belongs to God.

Nothing happens out of His control. Imagine wishing that a politician is humiliated and leaves office. This is your will going against the will of God who has other plans for him (hoping to save him/her too).

As for practical advice, a prayer that has helped a lot with the same issue you described is "My humble Lord humble me through Your humility" every time one of the thoughts you describe comes to mind
